Dr. Katherine Schwarz, MD

I think the most silly thing was her misinformation about estrogen and progesterone giving people cancer. She put her hand on her chest and said 'I will not be the one who gives you cancer.' There is nothing to back this up. She said that by having both an IUD and progesterone that I was 'doubling' the dose. I agreed to stop taking it. Then later she backtracked and said there was not that big of a dose in the IUD. She told me to quit immediately, that it wasn't like an antidepressant where you should ween off it. I had huge withdrawals from quitting like that. It was horrible! She was looking at her computer in her lap so much to answer my questions (googling??). She seemed flustered and annoyed by my presence. I was uncomfortable. When she did the pelvic exam she kind of bounced her hand from my knees to my mid-thigh to my privates. She made me jump at one bounce on a knee then again when she touched my private. She told me she would do this but it felt sloppy and uncaring.

I saw Dr. Schwartz for an exploratory surgery for endometriosis and a tubal ligation. I think she’s a very good technician at what she does, absolutely. However, I had to advocate many times in my appointments with her to not have a total hysterectomy, which she was pushing. Also, she had a rather sharp and cold bedside manner and didn’t give me the feeling she really wanted to work with me toward a solution. I have a lot of drug allergies which evidently made her very offput and annoyed because she couldn’t do whatever drug cocktail she usually does. It wasn’t exactly an easy experience with her, but I’m happy with the surgical results.

Dr. Schwarz performed my vaginal hysterectomy and she did an amazing job. I highly recommend her. Very nice and pleasant. She was absolutely the best.

Dr. Schwarz is absolutely amazing. She is very professional, pleasant, and friendly. She always listens to what I have to say and goes up and beyond to help her patients. She has helped me through a lot and was one of the only doctors to actually help me.

I see I’m not the only one who noticed Dr. Schwarz’s terrible bedside manner. She was not friendly at all. Also she wanted to do a major procedure that I KNEW I didn’t need and kept sending me certified, signature required, letters in the mail, calling my home multiple times to try to pressure me into getting this procedure. Needless to say, I switched docs immediately.

Dr Schwartz has terrible bed side manner. She did not listen to anything I said because she didn’t take the time to listen. She was in a hurry to get out of there and left me feeling worse than I did initially . I would never recommend her to anyone.

Went To see Dr. Schwartz for an issue with fibroids and ended up having what seemed to me a waste of a procedure. No improvement in my condition post-surgery, and there was no follow-up from her either. And worst of all, her bedside manner is terrible. She was cold and dismissive. All the nurses I dealt with in this process, however, were quite caring.

I do many know why ANYONE would give Katherine anything less than a 5, she did my hysterectomy like a boss!! She is the XENA warrior princess of obgyns. Very awesome woman!! ??

Dr. Schwarz was thorough, pleasant, professional and caring.
