Internal medicine?! Yeaahhh. This physician is an anesthesiologist. I had surgery on 3/27/19 at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Claus was the MD part of the anesthesia team. Dr. Daniel Rocke was removing my parotid gland and thyroid gland in the same surgery...a twofer. Besides being 63, I have a constellation of other medical issues, probably a brain teaser for the anesthesia team. Additionally, I've been anesthetized a lot, historically, so being put to sleep was a big concern for me. Just prior to my surgery date there was a lot of internet noise about patients coming to in the middle of surgery and the agony that presented. Dr. Claus admonished me "stay off the internet!" She explained why that would not happen to me. I'm here to do this review, so she's already at 4 stars. Add in the 5th as the recovery from the anesthesia was as clean and side effect free as I've ever had. I've never "picked" the anesthesiologist or the team, but I was lucky to get this group.
