Dr. Kathleen Schroeder, MD

I was a patient of Dr. Schroeder. I tried to schedule an annual exam in September, and they gave me availability in March (7 months later). However, she would accept other types of visits that are better paid. I tried to get a medication that she already prescribed in the past, but because she was unavailable to meet, I requested it on my chart. She refused and advised me to schedule a (paid) visit, but still not an annual exam. This attitude makes me think she only cares about how much she is paid and not much about the patients. I also see the same behavior in other reviews.

Very long story short, she gave me a med that ended up causing Gastroparesis. I love 50lbs in 6 months, weighed 108lbs (less that I did in middle school), she left on maternity leave (I saw her at least once a month for a chronic condition and she never once said she was pregnant and since it was peak covid all appointments were telehealth). I had no one lined up to help me while she was gone, and even after she was out her staff didn’t tell me it was on Mat leave, just said she was “out” and answered messages to her like they were meant for them (my health is complicated, their answers literally were never helpful). When she came back, I thought she was going to help me. After I requested my medical records I learned she was blaming everything on anxiety and my marijuana use to manage my symptoms. Come to find it was the med she prescribed. This was the worst doctor experience because I thought she was helping and 3 years later I’m still dealing with the issues she caused. Thanks dr S
