Dr. Kathleen Smith, MD

My family doctor for several years and I feel like they are family. They handle all kinds of medical needs. She is experienced and has much knowledge.

Friendly staff, listened to my concerns, took the time to let me explain my issues, I have no trouble getting an appointment, and was even seen last minute.

Treat you like a number. Never felt like they actually cared and was more worried about you coming in for unecessary visits. I'm Trying to find another provider now

The worst experience with Dr. Kathleen Smith. When I called the office to make an appointment, I mentioned reasons for my visit which was a couple of concerns. On the day of my appointment, my husband and I overheard the help desk assistant explained the reasons for my visit to the Dr. Smith. When Dr. Smith brought me to the room and listen about my concerns, Dr. Smith snapped at me and yelled, “Why didn’t you tell me these all at once?!”. She didn’t let me finish explained the reason why I was there and cut me off mid sentence. I am still waiting for my new prescription and refills to be sent electronically to cvs, however it’s been 4 days. I tried to calling the office multiple times however no response. I actually visited the office in person and the front desk assistant was rolling his eyes at me stating the doctors and medical assistants are not here. I will never recommend to this doctor. The worst bedside manner. I believe a patient has a rights to explain the concerns. However

I’ve been to see Dr. Smith two or three times. First time, I was kind of rushed, the doctor didn’t want to hear what I thought was going on with my body. I’m not a MD but I know my body, best. Maybe she didn’t want to hear what I had to say. I almost didn’t go back , but I did, the next visit seemed to get better. The doctor changed the milligrams of my medication, she gave me a 90 day supply, I called the office to get a refill, they said that I had to come into the office for a paid visit to get my refill of blood pressure medication. Then I got Covid a few weeks ago, since I am diabetic, I called the office to see if there was some kind of medication that I could take to ease my symptoms but the lady that answered the phone didn’t ask my name, she just said there was nothing they can do for me. She said if I have problems to go to the hospital or call 911. I’m Done !!

GREAT DOCTOR. Period. I've met with several Doctors around the Vegas valley over the years... from Family Med/Primary Care to Pain Management. Dr. Smith is one of the few that genuinely listened to what i had to say; would discuss IN DETAIL what options were available for treatment; -Offered PRP when other doctor's wouldn't. -Offered Med. Marijuana even though it meant insurance co's wouldn't touch her. She genuinely helps those dealing with pain BECAUSE SHE GENUINELY CARES.
