Where do I even begin?! Dr. Kalkbrenner has changed my life in ways I never thought possible. Though we've only had a handful of encounters, she continues to exhibit a level of compassion and empathy that is rarely observed. It is clear that Dr. Kalkbrenner cares deeply for each of her patients, and she will always take time out of her busy schedule to say a quick 'hello' and see how I'm doing, even if I'm not one of her patients for the day. Dr. Kalkbrenner is highly personable, and will go to great lengths to maximize the comfort and safety of her patients. She has easily become my favorite physician at Connecticut Children's, and they are beyond lucky to have her on staff. Never have I felt as though I was 'just another patient' or another box to check off while under her care. Dr. Kalkbrenner has become an inspiration as to how all patients should be treated, and I will forever value all the time we've spent together. I aspire to be even a fraction of the physician she is.
