Retired, sold practice and patients
Understand the sudden retirement, not impressed with the way selling the practice and patients to a doctor supposedly checked out and highly recommended by Dr. Hak. New doctor doesn't have patient records after 4 months, apparently the new Dr. doesn't do anything with electronic medical records. Very inconvenient hours too. I'm concerned that when I go to a doctor of my own choosing there will be a problem getting my records from Dr. Hak's closed practice and if the new doctor still doesn't have records, will they be able to recover them?Overall, a very disappointing experience. I expected an office like Dr. Hak's as he sent us to him. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience.

Ignored patient symptoms
Not an attentive person. After my accident refused to perform simple diagnostic tests. Refused X-rays, MRI, and CT scans. Missing a fractured L4 and torn spinal cord. Saying I was drug seeking for my pain. Then after I had lost 65# called me fat still and said I should loose weight faster putting me in a med that caused heart attack symptoms causing hospitalization. Poor bedside manner and rude.

Overlooking a patient’s symptoms
I’m the daughter of a patient, when my dad (a long time patient) came in to see Dr. Hak complaining of difficulty walking, he was told to lose weight and exercise. My dad had to have quadruple bypass surgery this past Monday because he had over 75% blockages throughout his heart valves and more blockages throughout his body. If he would have been sent to a Cardiologist months ago his issues would have been diagnosed earlier. I’m thankful my dad survived the surgery but at his age I worried the entire time and yes I’m angry with his Primary Physician.

Dr. Hak is a kind and caring physician. He listens to my concerns and we discuss them thoroughly. If I need a refill on a prescription, I can go on-line and request it and he e-scribes the script within 24 hours. I highly recommend Dr. Hak.

Short wait times, great staff. Leave your hubris at the door. Dr. Hak shows great respect for you, your family, and himself. Honest to fault...refreshing I believe. An ascerbic wit that will bring you back and having you refer friends, too.

Dr. Hak has been my physician for many many years! I will never go to anyone else. He is very kind, listens to my concerns and collaborates in my care with me. He is very trustworthy and doesn't hesitate to make a referral if need be. The nursing staff and office manager are very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend him as a physician and internal medicine doctor to anyone!!

No waiting, cares about patients, gets preauthorizations done. It would be five stars because he never seems to have reports from doctors he’s referred you too. When you know updates were sent. That even if you provide office staff a copy of a report. I don’t know where the breakdown is getting them in the chart or him not reviewing them. It could be labs, xrays, reports from services he’s sent you to or doctors he’s sent you too. Doesn’t always listen if he’s got a point to make. Prone to dismiss concerns or look back in the chart to see progress. Hard sometimes to get in touch with staff. All in all best doctor around but it can be aggravating.
