My left eye cataract surgery resulted in a crease in the lens capsule which made looking at a bright light have a beam extending up and down from it. My right eye surgery resulted in me having to go to a retinologist for a vitrectomy as the back of the lens capsule was torn and pieces of the cataract went into the back of my eye. Until I get this next surgery I only see a bit of light and it looks like I am looking through a piece of dirty waxed paper with black irregular pieces floating in it. I believe the tear happened because Dr Charles had 30 surgeries that day and perhaps was operating too fast.

I saw Dr Charles in the summerfield office , and was very impressed with the staff's attention to detail and politeness. Dr Charles was very pleasant and thorough.

My wife and I are full time travelers, and my cataracts were bad enough to prevent me from driving. I am also a lifelong birdwatcher, so it became very difficult to do any of that either. We came to Florida specifically for my eye surgery, and we were able to schedule both eye surgeries about 3 weeks apart in February 2022. The procedures were quick and pain free and now I can see (20/20) without eyeglasses for the first time in over 20 years! Thank you Dr. Charles for giving me my vision back, and I can see birds again!

Dr Charles has been my Opthalmologist for about eight years. I am eighty years old. He performed my cataract surgery two years ago. My vision is perfect! 20-20! I had an appointment with him yesterday, as a matter of fact.I wear readers for close work, such as reading, knitting and crocheting! I could not ask for a better Opthalmologist and l highly recommend him at every opportunity !

I developed glaucoma after both cataract surgeries. He admitted something wasn't right during the surgery.

Love my Lasik!! Even tho at my age have to wear readers, being able to see immediately when I wake up without grabbing glasses is the best. Procedure was quick and I felt very safe throughout the entire experience!! Would definitely recommend Dr. Charles!

Had cataract surgery this past summer. Before the surgery I could see 20/30 in my left eye and could also read books, newspapers etc. My right eye vision was blurry for distance and closeup. After the surgery I now need reading glasses for both and my eyesight in my right eye is no better. Dr Charles says that there is nothing else to be done. I wish I had never let him touch my eyes

Also the care I received at the surgery center in Summerfield was so thorough and I especially appreciated the patience they had with my fears and anxiety.
