Dr. Keith Gurland, MD

Keith Gurland saved my eyesight twice. I got pink eye in the hospital when my Mother died. Either from an open tissue box, or the elevator buttons. The only things I touched. Pink eye is fast. You usually know. My Sisters took me to Gurland and his Son did something that saved me. Second time. He saved me when I mixed ammonia in a sink with the ammonia and then the hot water and got a cloud of it. Again; Keith did something and fixed me.

The staff was very friendly. Very short wait. Doctor Gurland was helpful and I was very relieved after the visit.

Couldn't ask for a more professional eye doctor! If I could give this doctor 10 stars, I would. Dr. Gurland is very knowledgeable, understanding, and kind. Highly recommended! Wouldn't go to anywhere else.

the staff at the front super nasty , rude , unprofessional and I don't trust the doctor if he let people like that work for him.do your self favor and go somewhere else. There are many eye doctor around.

I had 2 visits to Dr Gurland in the past. In both, I was never checked by Dr Gurland himself, but another doctor (I forgot his name). He both times gave me numbers for my glasses higher to what I really need, which caused me nausea and headaches for months. I consulted with an optometrist, and 2 other ophthalmologists in NJ and France, and all confirmed that my prescription was way out of the line. Never again.

Nice informative doctor but staff needs to work on record keeping. They took my cash copay, brought me into see the doctor and never gave me a receipt. Now I'm getting a bill for my copay. Now I have to prove I paid. Isn't it policy to collect the copay before going in? Ridiculous. Billing lady was a bit rude about it to. Like I was trying to get over a measly $10.

I genuinely used to appreciate Dr. Gurland and his office but for the last couple of visits they have been incredibly hard to deal with. Issues with my insurance brought out their complete and utter disregard for patients health and showed that they only care for the check that they receive after my visit. My most recent trip there was a horrible experience and I'm trying to find a better eye doctor in the area that will be more understanding and accommodating...two things Gurland's office lacks

The office is nice looking and in a descent location. The wait times are a bit long, especially when there's two doctors and it's not busy. You can tell the staff tries really hard to be friendly especially when the doctor's around, which hasn't always been the case. The staff and Dr. Gurland are poor communicaters. They kind of just shuffle you around without explaining anything. I mostly go there because it's a convenient location and they except my insurance.
