This doctor lets his PA create and remove casts. However the two casts we received were poorly folded at the hand opening and came down over the fingers too far. Then when the cast was removed, the PA cut my child’s arm in two places. I’ve always been told that the cast removing machine can’t cut you but it did cut my child.

Wow! Doctor Nelson is awesome! I was involved in an accident and he repaired my clavicle. Gave me the choice to do non-operative or operative and explained the pros and cons of going both routes. So very thorough that we have decided to have him replace my knee in the fall. EXCELLENT care and bedside manner. Staff in the office and surgical center were fantastic as well! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I've been trying to fix this review, as it wasn't star wise what I had planned on giving Dr. Nelson. Basically, I never had any problems with Dr. Nelson until my last visit. He did surgery this last year on my arm, and it's healed marvelously (5 stars). I was very happy with him because I felt like he cared enough to listen to what I have to say. I recently had another surgery, this one on my hip, and I don't know if he just has too many patients right now, but I felt like he didn't listen to me on my follow up. It felt like he assumed things without asking. Even my sister that was with me at the appointment said he seemed disinterested. I feel like he dropped my pain meds to something too low, too fast (stitches still in). It wouldn't last more than two hours (I'd wake up through the night having to wait a couple of hours to take anything). I felt like healing slowed. The low one was actually harder on my stomache, and I threw up more with that than the other, even with nausea meds.

Superb knee replacement experience for m husband. Surgery performed with precision, he healed ahead of schedule, and thanks to the excellent pain control regimen, it was relatively pain free. He only hurt once and that was the day he skipped his Rx. Dr. Nelson knows what he's doing.

Dr. Nelson exceeded my own very high expectations for a total knee. He explained the process, took time to answer questions, sat down prior to surgery and spoke with both my husband and myself. The surgery was "state of the art" as Dr. Nelson stays very current in his field. I walked (using walker) less than 2 hours post op. NO PAIN! By next day I was walking down the hallways and practicing stairs. Dr. Nelson checked on me 5 times in 2 days. Extraordinary caring physician!

This man is FANTASTIC, completed a total shoulder replacement, very little pain, recovery was very pleasant, follow up was great, and 4 months later I am ready to golf, I am 72 years old and had another doctor repair a torn roto cuff on my other shoulder 4 years ago and I would go through a shoulder replacement with this Doctor rather than what I went through with the other doc. 5 Stars to Doctor Nelson and his Staff.
