DR. Abate is very friendly, informative and takes her time

Dr. Abate cares and sat down to discuss my concerns. She had a picture taken in order to compare with my follow-up visit. When I requested printouts, she made sure I had them.

Dr. Abate is very personable and trustworthy. I feel very comfortable during my screenings as she takes time to answer my questions and addresses areas of concern. She provides option for treatment and explains things in a simple to understand manner. If you are looking for a dermatologist she is the one!

Been 3 years since my last visit with the doc. She is very caring, professional and a pleasure to deal with. Takes great care with her patients and a wonderful listener.

Last December I saw Dr. Abate to remove a small angioma in my face. She suggested to remove also a few dark spots in the face. I agreed stressing though that my first priority was the removal of the angioma. She noted a growth between my upper lip and my nose. She thought that it might be skin cancer. She shaved it and sent the sample to a pathology lab for analysis. I paid $250.00 cash and left. A few days later the angioma was still there. After a couple of weeks, the pathologist determined that there was no cancer and the growth was a benign common wart. Hard to believe that a dermatologist cannot recognize a wart correctly and takes it for basal cell carcinoma. The wart shaving left a large, ugly scar in the middle of my face that is still red even after all these months. Bottom line, I still have the angioma, the growth was a very common benign wart, and I am left with an ugly and avoidable scar in the middle of my face for the rest of my life. All for $250.00 bucks.
