Dr. Kelly Alberda, MD

Dr. Alberda and his teams care is exceptional, making me feel heard and valued. His genuine attentiveness to my concerns and pain were evident throughout my visit. It's not the size of the practice, but the immense heart and empathy of Dr. Alberda and his team that truly made a difference. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking a compassionate and skilled healthcare provider.

Dr. Alberda listens well, and answers my multitude of questions wat without either condescending or talking over my head. He is very caring concerning sensitive issues I have based on past trauma, without neglecting necessary medical care. I have found him to be a good diagnostician, and his ego is robust enough to admit when I need to see a specialist. He's also great about making sure to prescribe medications that my insurance covers. And hopefully he's bot going to retire on me any time soon. When my previous PCP retired, Dr. Alberda was brought into my doctor and his partner's practice as an eventual replacement and I specifically asked my doctor if I should switch to Dr. Alberda or the existing partner and he personally vouched for Dr. Alberda. Who is young enough to probably not retire before I'm a senile old man in a nursing home somewhere. Bonus, he has a good sense of humor and is very tall.

Dr. Alberta takes the time to listen to you. He asks questions to ensure he understands your medical complaint before he works on the diagnosis. He is a teaching doctor but the student's presence is never uncomfortable. I have recommended him to friends and family. His practice is how it should be: patient focused.

I never actually saw Dr. Alberda. Only his residents ever saw me. And they diagnosed my cancer as allergies. Now that I'm cancer-free thanks to the work of talented surgeons, they refuse to give me the referral I need so my checkups with my surgeon will be covered by my insurance. Blackstock is terrible.
