Had a total knee replacement approx 4 years ago. Knee has never been right since. It feels the same prior to my surgery. Her office staff especially her PA and RN are horrible. They never return calls. Feels like pulling teeth to get them to respond to messages. I do not recommend her for any orthopedic work

Caring, sympathetic, and nice
Dr. Homlar removed a large mass from the back of my thigh. She always explained the process in ways I could understand, answered my many questions, and helped to ease all my concerns. The scar is healing very well and she is genuinely a nice person.

Both hips replaced
Dr. Homlar has replaced both hips. One in 2016 and other 2019 both due to a fall. No issues at all afterwards. She's the best. Has a wonderful bedside matter. I was 89 frist fall and 92 second. I work everyday outside. I've never had any problems.

Yes I will recommend Her very much so, wouldn't hesitate to do so. Dr. Kelly Homlar is an excellent provider. went to her with so much pain in my right knee, and she performed a total knee replacement, and the surgery was very successful. The knee sure fells better now than ever before. Great job Dr. Homlar. She is second to none. Thanks, L. Long.

My husband was a VA patient with AVN who was scheduled for a total left hip replacement when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. All VA surgeries were cancelled & he was referred to AU by the VA. He already had a total right hip replacement in July 2019 AFTER injections & core decompression DID NOT WORK. Dr. Homler was the surgeon that he saw at his appointment at AU on May 11, 2020. Even after we explained his history, the prior attempts on his right hip and the replacement he already had, she basically refused to even consider left hip replacement without injections & core decompression first; even though his records show that neither of those treatments worked before. She also disregarded the fact that his MRI showed that the joint socket was broken & collapsing. We really feel like she simply didn't want to do the surgery because he was a VA patient and she knew we wouldn't agree to trying the same treatments that previously didn't work on is right hip and would only delay the inevitable.

Dr Homlar is fantastic as a surgeon. When I first started having pain in my knee, she took a great deal of time explaining all the various options thoroughly. What I greatly appreciated was her conservative approach (physical therapy, shots, scoping and finally replacement). The workup for the operation, communication with Dr Homlar and her staff, the operation itself, followup physical therapy, sincere concern during post op followup was text book. I most highly recommend Dr Homlar to everyone.

Dr Homlar herself was GREAT to speak with. The office staff however was poor from day 1. Scheduled an appointment over 2 months in advance and was notified THE DAY BEFORE the appointment was scheduled with the wrong Dr. I was then “squeezed” in 2 days later and sat OVER 2 HOURS waiting to be seen by Dr. Homlar. The receptionist and staff did very little after numerous requests to expedite the process. I understand things happen but this experience was UNACCEPTABLE from a health care provider.

Very bad bedside manner. I'm the patient she spent most of her time explaining things to my husband making eye contact with him and I'm asking questions she is directing answers to him just rude.
