Dr. Kelly Shrum, MD

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Shrum for over 20 years. He’s seen me through infertility, the birth of my daughter in 2008 at JRMC, and my son in 2012 at DMH. My last pregnancy was high risk and labs indicated a genetic disorder. At the time, the thought of delivering at a small hospital was concerning. The one calming factor was my doctor, who is now my friend. Although Jack came one week before the new women’s wing opened, everything about my experience was perfect, and my baby was born completely healthy. Dr Shrum’s office has always been kind, professional, and quick to schedule appointments for any problems. Dr. Shrum performed my D&C for ovarian cysts in 2013, an endometrial ablation in 2019, and a hysterectomy in 2020. His level of skill and knowledge is impressive. His examinations are thorough and he is quick to refer patients to other specialists if needed. His bedside manner puts patients at ease. It’s worth driving an hour to know you’re in the best hands.

Could not ask for a more trustworthy and caring doctor, he delivered one of my babies 14 years ago and I'm about to have one more at almost 40! I drive close to an hour away from home just to have him as my doctor, after initially going with a doctor in my hometown and being unhappy and nervous about the care (or lack of) that I was receiving. It is well worth the drive to know my baby and I are both under the best care possible!

I have been a patient of Dr. Shrum for 15 years. After the birth of my children he handled all GYN issues.He's an excellent physician and cares about his patients. He got shafted at JRMC from physicians jealous of his success! He bought 40% of the monies to JRMC. While many others bought 1-2% He moved to Monticello after haters ran him out! The Snitch Team of physicians doing the exact same thing. When he left, his patients followed. He Bought 2 Million dollars to Monticello in 1 year! Bravo
