Dr. Kendall Vague, MD

I had 1 appointment with Dr Vague prior to being scheduled for total knee replacement by him. 3 days post op, my pain level was off the chart. The office worked me in so I could see him because I was in so much pain I hadn't slept since surgery. He came in the room and asked, "what's the problem?" I was crying so hard I could barely speak. I told him my pain was unbearable. He proceeded to tell me that the pain was my fault because of my varicose veins, which was never told to me at my first and only visit with him 3 months prior. He asked if I was taking my pain medication. I told him I was but it wasn't touching my pain. He said of course it wasn't because I had been taking a pain medication (almost the weakest prescription pain medication on the market) for 2 months prior, that he had been prescribing for me. As my surgeon, he should have told me at my appointment that my varicose veins would cause problems. And while prescribing the pain medication, at some point, he should have stopped before surgery so the post op pain medication would be effective at all. He was very rude, non caring and made me feel insignificant. I was fortunate to not have any further dealings with him and all post op care to follow was handle by the nurse practitioner. I was devastated as I had only heard wonderful things about him for many years.

He did my mom's knee and told a nurse to time him to see how fast he could do it. Knee fell apart into pieces of bone and plastic. Of course we had to have another surgery to correct, but chose a different provider.

Dr Vague is a great surgeon! He put screws in my ankle about 20 years ago and they are still there and did surgery on my elbow about 4 years ago. Would definitely recommend him!

The staff were wonderful, except one, and I think she was having a off day. We all do. Dr. Vague was very impressive. I felt like a good friend had come into the room. He seemed very knowledgeable, and he showed me the X-Ray and explained the problem areas. He even took into consideration of my abilities and requirements as a care giver to my husband. I couldn't find one thing to complain about. That

My Mother in Law needed emergency surgery for a broken hip. Dr Vague did a great job on Saturday.

Dr. Vague has worked with me over the years. He replaced both knees and has helped me with my feet as well. He did carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists and removed a lipoma from my finger. I would recommend him very highly.

Dr. Vague is my hero... He enabled me to walk again. He even prayed with me before the emergency surgery... I owe him and love him. He is an amazing encourager and doctor.
