Dr Wood was awesome! She gave me options and explained things very clearly. I learned a lot!

Dr. Wood not only took the time to listen to what I had to say, she seemed to intuitively know how she could make my experience even better.

Good first visit
I had a string of doctors retire before I could establish a relationship so I was pleased to find Kenna Wood. My first visit was good and I found her to be a good listener and was able to fill in the blanks between past visits with other physicians. Her team followed up with my promptly on a MyChart/MyHealth question. I don't require frequent visits and found her to be competent and open.

Dr. Woods disinterest may originate with her military background, and may be well suited in that environment, however, it is the inquiring, connected, and compassionate that truly practice medicine. As a diagnostician she is very limited. By the time I got an orthopedic referral I literally had no hip socket. My surgeon was appalled. The undo suffering was so avoidable. In addition, she will not field more than one issue at a time. After calling my insurance they noted this was not characteristic of most physicians, but it was notably a dominant pattern in hers. We were both distressed by the implication therein. Needless to say I have transferred out of her practice. I wish her well, but feel a clear need to express my concerns.

Dr. Wood has been my primary care physician for 4 years. While she is competent at medical assessment, it is very very difficult to work with as her patient. She is hostile and antagonistic, argumentative and always seems annoyed rather than concerned in a compassionate way. She is seemingly arbitrary in deciding what you should and should not do or have -- does not provide full and credible explanations for her decisions, just snap judgments. Does not respect a patient's knowledge of their own body and of pertinent medical information. Always watching the clock. Very slow to address requests like prescription refills. Case Example: She is a DO (osteopath) yet when I saw her and complained of severe low back pain (due to a chiropractor injury), instead of giving me a treatment (manipulation) right then, told me to make another appointment in 6 weeks! In a 30 minute appointment you get maybe 10 minutes with her.

Office has poor follow-through and places inaccurate notes in patient file. Slow to act on refills. Lack of trust issues. Docs don’t stay in this office very long. Wonder why?

Dr. Wood's knowledge is very limited, per my experience. She has an unwillingness to learn any medical conditions in which she lacks knowledge. She is unable to assess how her patients are actually doing/feeling and basically acts as though the patient is doing great even if they are not.

Worst doctor I've ever had. She has consistently been a road block in my health since day 1. She keeps sending me for an A1c every month/couple weeks.....it's pretty clear I have diabetes yet she keeps wasting time in my life where I would feel better if I was officially diagnosed so I can get the proper treatment. Also, my landlord does allow AC however if Kenna would just sign the reasonable accommodation form the I could have AC. I have fibro with heat sensitivity and she won't sign.
