Excellent Shoulder Surgeon
Dr. Kenneth Y. Chern performed arthroscopic surgery on my right shoulder, and I’m now 13 weeks into my recovery. I’m pleased to report that my progress has been excellent. Dr. Chern has been both helpful and informative throughout the process. II would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a shoulder specialist.

RCL still pain today
I injured my elbow at work , so NJ Workers Comp states the employer can send you to who they want . They sent me to this inconsiderate man . I once sat in his room for 3 hrs waiting for him to come in to see me for 8 mins. That was jealousy because it was WC. Then he injects my elbow with PRP plasma in which he injected with NO lidocaine , pain was a 10 during this deliberate procedure. Then before surgery , he NEVER tells me he may use a ligament off the shelf from a cadaver body , real nice . The nurse told me right before surgery . He treated me poorly cause he was jealous I was injured . He got paid his $20,000 , and my elbow still has pain to this day , thanks for nothing

Dr Chern was my second opinion for relief for torn rotator cuff plus 2 tendons in my rt shoulder. First surgeon from another practice said nothing could be done [though I believe it was not in his ability to operate on the shoulder.] Dr. Chern explained my situation and offered a reverse shoulder replacement... if I was willing to work hard in recuperation. The surgery at Ocean Medical Center went well. Six weeks later, I am now in the strengthening phase of PT and am improving daily. Post-op visits to Dr Chern are professionally run, involving xrays and skilled assistants at the Freehold office. I see a flexible, painfree future if I continue to progress under his instructions. I feel very ckmfortable with Dr Chern and revommend him.

First office visit said I need meniscus surgery. Was told surgery went well. Little pain from surgery. But knee pain never improved. He said I might need gel shots at first visit. With no relief I agreed to gel shots. First shot was painful. He said he hit something it left an egg and big bruise. Second shot Didn’t hurt as much. Third shot I SAW STARS And gave long scream He said he may have hit a nerve and you can’t see a nerve under the skin. He said next time he’ll give be shot in different location. Quick I’m sorry and left room. I asked male Staff for ice, said I can ice it when I get home. Female asst who was in room during shot said give her ice. So male staff did. No real compassion from Chern, I have one shot to go and hope it works. Supposedly it can take 6 weeks to know. if shots works, I’m finding a new doctor to get future shots. I Won’t refer to him as I felt this is just a job & has little compassion, not sure I needed surgery

Dr. Kenneth Chern is an outstanding physician, I highly recommend him. He and his team of fine professionals at Seaview Orthopaedics did an excellent job of restoring my badly torn rotator cuff. It's great to be back in action, and I'm very thankful.

I had pain in my left shoulder, and right shoulder as well. He thought it was a possibility of a neck injury...He had taken very care of me. I am following up on all of his advise. With in a few hours, I had another appointment with one of his associates to further look into my scans and pain. I truly appreciate his interest in getting me well. JWean
