Hospitalist who won't consult specialists
A family member was treated by Dr. Epstein. He was arrogant about assessing a complex neurological condition, tried to send the patient home without a full assessment and only consulted a specialist when specifically asked to. He did not listen to patient and family concerns and lied to family members about the patient agreeing to go home. He represents the worst of all physicians I have worked with -- arrogant, unwilling to admit that a different course of action is needed and uncaring.
