Very compassionate
Dr. Lichtman is very caring and explains what his treatment plan is. Over the years he has provided invaluable care. He does not mind speaking with family members to explain matters to them. If there is an urgent need outside of office hours, he is there to help. In addition, his office staff is friendly and helpful.

I've been seeing Dr. Lichtman for almost a year. I was referred to him by my family physician who had unsuccessfully used two different anti-depressants to treat me. On my first visit with Dr. Lichtman, he took a detailed history and at the end of the session, he made reccomendations. After a month, I started to feel better and now I good. I highly recommend him.

I have been a patient of Dr Lichtman for 19 years now. He has made himself available to me at all times, especially in times of crisis. He is extremely knowledgable and caring. He always puts his patients first. He is, by far, the most caring doctor I have ever had.

Dr Lichtman is the most caring, professional, and knowledgable doctor I have ever met. He has saved the lives of so many over his 35+ years in private practice and also on staff at and as department chairman at JFK Medical Center in Edison. His office is welcoming and his staff is exemplary in all areas. I have referred many patients to him over the years and always get the most positive feedback! Highly recommended!

I have been seeing Dr. Lichtman since I was 16. I had seen several other psychiatrists that had all misdiagnosed me as depressed. I wasn't getting better and thought I would never have a normal life like my friends until Dr. Lichtman. He correctly diagnosed me as Bipolar II. He put me on the right medicine and has always been there with me every step of the way. I was able to go to college, graduate school, meet my husband and have children. I wouldn't be here today without him.

I have known Dr. Lichtman for many years. He has helped me deal with my PTSD. Once In a while, over the years, I need a short term tune up and feel very comfortable returning to his office and able to pick up were I left off. I don't have to start my story all over. I would recommend him in a heart beat.
