One of a kind surgeon
Dr. McCurry is one of the privileged son of God greatly endowed with talent, skills and intelligence. But above all these gifts, he was blessed with a kind, humble and empathetic heart that made a huge impact on the lives of his patients and their families. I am in the medical field too and in my lifetime, I finally encountered a surgeon as humble as this guy, not to mention his immense gift of thoroughly performing cardiothoracic surgeries. Our lives were positively impacted by Dr. Kenneth McCurry, his and Cleveland Clinic staff in general. Dr. McCurry, you are a chosen one and I don't feel less because God assigned you to us. More power to you Dr. McCurry and that legacy I will forever live day by day as I see my own patients.

Dr McCurry did my mitral valve repair of 2 broken chords in June 2019. He is wonderful personally and did a wonderful job repairing my heart via minimally invasive surgery. As of Nov 2021, I've had no problems; and, I have been completely off of meds since Nov 2019. I'm very grateful to have had Dr McCurry as my surgeon; and, feel he's the best of the best! Highly recommend Dr McCurry and Cleveland Clinic!

My Dad had triple bypass and valve replacement a few years ago. In his 80s was pronounced 100 % recovered. Dr McCurry was amazing during and after Dads time at Cleveland Clinic. He even followed up with Dads local doctor.

Grateful daughter of heart patient – May 11, 2020

After Aortic replacement and quadruple bypass on November 14, 2017, I woke and told the ICU Dr that I had suffered a stroke. I knew, because I'd had one previously. The nurse reported it to Dr McCurry who had performed the surgery. Dr McCurry asked her questions, but did not visit me or request an MRI. Upon arrival at Step-Down 5 days later, I told Angela Nelson, the NP that I'd had a stroke. She immediately called the Neurology Department who sent down 9 doctors and did an MRI showing that I had suffered a stroke during the operation. I feel Dr McCurry did not want it on his record that a patient had suffered a stroke during his surgery. He should have visited me and ordered an MRI the same day it was reported. I am paying his bill under protest after it was reviewed by the Ombudsman. I am very disappointed that a hospital with such an astute reputation supported a doctor who did not address a serious medical issue when it was discovered.
