Words can not express the professionalism and gratitude I have for Dr Saum. My husband went in for a catheterization, and was told that day that a CABG was really what he needed. Dr. Saum spoke with us and two days later my husband is having the life saving surgery that he needed. Dr Saum truly cares, and tells you exactly what is going on in a very calm manner. He made rounds every day during the hospitalization and answered all our questions. Dr. Saum is the only doctor I would want for cardiac care....

My mom was to have an appt with him after finding out she has Stage 1 cancer on her lung. The appt was set for Tuesday, his office called once Friday to confirm her appt then a second time to let her know her appt time/location may be changed. My mom let them know they would need to give her a heads up because she is coming from an hour away. Monday she called twice with no answer & the answering service never mentioned any change in their schedule. The day of her appt the secretary called her at 9am (her appt was at 11:45am) to let her know the nurse had called & said the Dr decided to be off that day..... so unprofessional, disrespectful, & disregarding of your patient. It’s also very strange that the secretary would just say that. No explanation from the nursing staff or Dr about why they just cancelled last minute. Would never recommend after this experience.
