Awful
I waited in the waiting room for 1 hour and 15 minutes. During that time I witnessed a former patient talk with the office staff about a $25 charge for a missed appointment that she stated she cancelled. The staff would not waive the charge, the elderly woman left, and the staff continued to talk about her for the entire waiting room to hear. I am now waiting in an exam room. The doctor walks in. looks at my hands, talks about a cream and treats the affected areas with the freeze spray. He never examined any other area of my body. I have never visited a dermatologist who doesn't exam the entire body of the patient.

Terrible Experience
Terrible experience. I had an appointment with him yesterday. Waited for 45 minutes. Then receptionist asked me to fill out paper work just as PA was calling me back. I told her I wanted my brown spots removed. She said they don’t do that. I showed her pictures of previous work he had done on me removing brown spots from face. I said I want to see a dermatologist. She said my appointment was with her. She was like a robot. I recognized the women from behind the desk and told her I had brown spots removed here before, don’t you remember? She just shrugged her shoulders. I walked out and said this place is a joke!! Do not go there!!

Recent visit
Haven't seen Dr. Warrick in years even though I specifically requested to see him, not a PA. He's never there; I was told he mostly works out of the VA in Market Common. Went for 6 month checkup, sat in the waiting room for nearly an hour before being called back, then was told my wife could not go in the exam room even though I explained that I am hard of hearing and I like for my wife to be there so I don't miss anything that is being said. When I questioned why my wife couldn't go in with me, I was told by a loud and rude woman that she owned the practice and it was her policy that no one is allowed in the exam room except the patient and staff. We walked out, then I received a statement in the mail for a $25.00 same day cancellation which I will gladly pay not to have to deal with these unprofessional, inconsiderate and rude people again!

I give him zero stars
Watch out for this guy. 6months a mark on my leg was not treated. 'we'll keep an eye on it', DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS. Was prescribed cream to put on. I finally changed doctors and the 'mark' has been biopsied and it is SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA. I now know what the diagnosis is so I looked it up. Anyone could have clearly seen what it was!!!!!! Should have his license taken away

I fired him. He wouldn't allow my wife to attend my appointment. He wouldn't allow me to attend wife's appointment. He did a biopsy and wants to do surgery for basil cell cancer. I requested a copy of the pathology report and was told it was available until AFTER the surgery. Am I wrong for firing Dr. Warrick?

Do not go there !! I had made an appointment 3 weeks before my knee surgery and two days before my appointment that I really needed (bad rash) I explained to her that I wanted to make sure the rash wouldn’t delay my knee surgery. She said she would reschedule my appointment for June heck my surgery is in March. She said for me to call my primary doctor. NOT A RELIABLE DERMATOLOGIST. STAY AWAY.

Terrible attitude
The staff is very rude. I had surgery on my face after going back for pain three times they realized they forgot to take all of the stitches out. They charge for more then they tell you it will cost. I will never go back.

I went to this office a few times over the last 5 years for checkups. My visit last September 2022, resulted in a melanoma surgery. I went for my follow up visits. My lady visit I waited 50 min, and was not brought back. I was told it was a follow up so I made another appt for right after. I left and was charged for a no show! Fast forward to now- I have a new dermatologist. They found another area that came back with more cancer- right near my melanoma ‘that was removed. I’m now being seen at MUSC for a major scalp surgery and they are refusing to send my records! Told the hospital if I want them, I can stop and get them for a few!

Could not take it any more
Aside from the fact that he operated on the wrong location on my arm every time I went for a visit I had to wait over an hour. I'm not sure they know what an appointment is. Front staff not very friendly or caring. They did not appear to care whether I left or stayed. I've heard similar story from 2 other ex-patients.

Do not inform patients when results come in, but will say they “there’s a note in the chart” about being unable to reach the patient or family. This seems to be be the standard response to any question or concern. VERY unfriendly staff. They are all very dismissive. I was present for a suture removal, and I am an RN - the MA went from removing the sutures to opening the supply drawer, back to applying a partial dressing and then back into the supply drawer to get more supplies/ ointment, all with the same gloves. Not good!!!!

In the six years I've lived in Longs, SC, Ken Warrick has done four surgeries for either basal or squamus cell growths I've had on my shin, scalp, neck, and face. He is not only very knowledgeable about what he does, but is a very interesting person and cherishes and remembers all conversations he's had with you about your health, but about your life in general. Frankly, I've never met a doctor who excels so much in these areas. For these reasons, I've always trusted his opinions and explanations about any of my conditions that have arisen. One can easily be scared about scarring, particularly on the face. All I can say is have no fear. All scars take up to a year or more to complete the healing process. Within a couple months after stitches were removed, I could see marked improvement. After a couple years, the scar on my temple is almost indistinguishable. This man is certainly one of the best medical people I've not only used but have gotten to know. He is also a cherished friend.

I made an appointment in May for a body skin check and got an appointment in July. This practice was referred by my primary physician. I was in the office a total 1.5 hrs. The office staff was nice but never checked on me once I was in the room for over 50 minutes. He did not apologize for being late. He’s a dermatologist and not a surgeon so I didn’t understand why he was so far behind schedule. I am self-employed and I should have sent him a bill for my time. I actually thought they forgot me. I didn’t realize a body check included invasive areas that a gynecologist checks also. Did research and I would not recommend going to him.

I made an appointment for myself and my wife. We both have Medicare and a Unicare supplement insurance through my retirement plan. We arrive and I tell the women at the desk my name and wife's name. She says "Unicare is out of Network and we wont even bill them" . So I said "does that mean Medicare will pay 80 percent and I will have to pay 20 percent"? She said yes. So I said "well I guess will have to go somewhere else ". She hands me back my cards and I leave. I check with Unicare and they tell me they absolutely would have paid the additional portion of the bill but I would have to pay up front to the provider and Medicare would automatically bill them and they would reimburse me. I called to try and explain this to them and the first women said "she told me you said your secondary was Medicaid" then the women who I spoke to gets on and tries to tell me "I was trying to explain that to you but you asked for your card back and left" overall bad customer service. Waited a month.

Dr. Warrick and his staff were wonderful. I made an appointment and was seen very quickly. Dr. Warrick made me feel very comfortable and preformed a very painless procedure on the spot. He and his staff were quick and efficient and I look forward to my annual check up with the "Good Doctor" a year from now!
