NEVER AGAIN
He has an attitude. I agree with most of the criticism on this review page. He was blunt, arrogant, and was obviously phobic about germs and had an obvious attitude about people not wearing masks. None of the staff had masks, no sign to wear a mask, and no masks provided. I was not there for anything that could indicate I was possibly infected, no coughing, no sneezing. He never asked the usual questions about medical past or what worked for a chronic condition. He muttered something about physical fitness, but never asked if I worked out. Weight was not the issue. This guy has issues or is on a substance. Spent less than 2 minutes with me and waiting room was empty. I have never had any medical professional, no DR, nurse, or staff ever have that tone with me and I intend to report him to everyone I can find including the medical board. Needless to say, if I were in dire need and had no options other than this urgent care, I would stay sick before I would subject myself to him again.

Worst Dr. care ever
Took my fiancé in for a follow up after surgery and waited to hours before being seen, had an appointment. When Dr. wills came in he started asking about the surgery and when they said she can go back to work. Mind you she has surgery 2 wks earlier on her rotator cuff. He immediately started to grab and press her shoulder and she started crying in agony. He said he was looking for infection but he didn’t even care to look at her 5 incisions . I guess that’s a new way to check for signs of infection. I told him that she hadn’t taken her pain meds cause she was in her waiting room for 2 hrs and he replied well I’ve been here all day without a break. At least you’re getting paid and that’s your job. Worst care ever. If I could change her site I would. He is definitely the worst Dr. I have even seen . Rude and no ethics or empathy for his patients. He should be fired. I am from a medical background and know what good care is and he does not give you none. This is the 2nd time.

By far the worst – Sep 20, 2024

Do not see him
I had a very disappointing experience. The provider did not take the time to listen to my concerns and refused to perform the baseline blood testing I requested after a needle stick at work. I found the lack of basic empathy and attentiveness surprising and disheartening. It felt like patient care was not a priority, but rather, just getting in and out of the room quickly.

Rude and Unprofessional
I took my daughter to CareNow because her regular provider was unable to see her today. How unfortunate for us. After waiting in the exam room for 2 hours, Dr Wilks finally came in. I had put on a podcast for my daughter to listen to while we waited as the wait was so long. He immediately told me to get off my phone, turned and went out the door. He came back in and started inquiring about my daughters symptoms. Dr. Wilks was extremely rude, argumentative, and would not listen to anything I had to say about my daughters symptoms. He was so disrespectful. I am a customer AND my daughter was a patient. I work in the OR as a surgical tech and I KNOW how I treat my patients. And I know how the nurses and surgeons treat their patients. I will blast him to anyone even considering CareNow if he is the Doc working that day. I am aso filing a complaint with CareNow. Absolutely should not be in healthcare working with patients. The reviews on Dr Wilks speak for themselves.

I don’t understand some of the other reviews, but my experience with Dr Wilks was probably life saving. Really. With a Covid positive and the clinic about to close for the night, he didn’t want to send me away with meds, but insisted on a chest X-ray. He held a couple of staff back and discovered Covid pneumonia. Then quickly got me scheduled for infusion which I’m convinced saved my life.

Would give 0 if possible. The worst doctor I’ve ever seen. Not helpful at all. I came in for an ear infection and he spent the whole time lecturing me about COVID and the vaccine. That’s not even why I came in! Got no help on my actual problem

Worst doctor I’ve ever seen. I filed a formal complaint with the office. He didn’t even introduce himself to me before the condescending lectures began. I have never been spoken to in this way in my entire life. The nurses had to tell me his name afterwards. Obviously deathly afraid of Covid and incapable of researching any real facts. Everyone else at the McCart CareNow is so nice. This doctor needs to be fired before he ruins the entire office’s reputation.

Worst experience ever has no bedside manner treats patients with no respect the front desk staff was great and also the X-ray techs but from the nurse Belinda to seeing Dr.wilks was terrible I will never refer a patient to this office as I also work for a health care provider and this would never be acceptable.

Dr. Wilks is the best PCP I've had! I blindly chose him on my insurance's website and was pleasantly surprised! I hardly waited when I first arrived, had a very friendly nurse work me up, and had Dr. Wilks full attention during the exam.

Excellent patient care and customer service from the front desk, the nurse, and Dr. Wilks. I especially liked that this location is open on Sunday. I didn't have to wait to see my primary care doctor on Monday. After my Sunday appointment at CareNow Eastchase, I received a followup call on the next day from the front desk staff to check on how I was doing. The location was easy to find. Clean, comfortable waiting room and exam room.
