Great doctor for our family member!!
Doctor Wogensen was amazing at taking swift care of an elderly family member that had had a stroke. We were all so concerned and frazzled and he took extra time out of his day to calmly explain to multiple members of our family what was happening, what the course of treatment should be and was available to answer questions. We all know how busy doctors can be and he went the extra mile!

If you want a dr who cares, you may be let down.
After my first visit I left in tears. I was referred to consult with him about a possible traumatic brain injury. He asked me a few questions about my symptoms and immediately decided he only wanted to treat me for migraines. He then asked some of my diagnoses and when I told him of my mental health he was obvious about his stance. He said “I’m not your therapist so save that stuff for him.” Then he proceeded to ask why I was on antidepressants. I didn’t want to answer after his reaction to the previous question but I told him that I just had 2 children pass away in a car accident. His response was “well you know we can’t really do anything about that right?”. I was in shock. He performed an EMG with outdated and broken equipment. Literally was holding pieces together while “testing”. His treatment plan was to offer a monthly injection for migraines. All other symptoms were disregarded. I never went back. I’ve never known such a condescending, uncompassionate dr.

Yes I would recommend. Iam a new patient with a list of neurological symptoms. He escorted me to room, He took my BP himself. Did full neurological exam and history. Was prompt and approachable. Studies ordered, Pending follow up. Brief but thorough.

It might work out differently for other prospective patients, but the doctor seemed rushed or disinterested in what I was telling him and was even closing his eyes while I was talking to him. Surely a neurologist, of all medical practitioners, would realize that some patients may communicate uniquely, or that an issue that is important to the patient (while perhaps less important to the doctor) should still be listened to. I'm considering whether to move on.

Very rushed. No physical exam, only questions. It seems the physician was only interested in scheduling tests. His secretary never looked up when she was making my appointments. She was too busy on the phone with an insurance company, get approval for another patient's tests. I cancelled my appointment and will seek care elsewhere.

I had been struggling with finding my mom the right doctor that was a good mix of patient to understand her early dementia issues and help explain it to both her personally Nina way that was not frightening and could help explain to myself and my brother what steps we would need to take to provide her the care she needed. We had been to two other doctors that I felt were a bit dismissive of some of her underlying issues. His office staff was efficient and friendly and his office is very easy to get in and out of with parking, wheel chair access etc. Overall the experience felt so much less daunting and I feel we really have a plan moving forward.

This doctor saved my mothers life by his quick thinking when she was having a stroke a few months back. Not only was he able to diagnose quickly what was wrong with her, he was able to provide life saving treatment quickly that has allowed her to recover. He was so patient and kind during my family asking a million questions and stayed behind to make sure we had all of them answered. I can tell he genuinely cares about his patients.
