Mysogynistic Experience
Truly awful. He said women can't gauge their pain or how much they bleed when menstruating. He said I shouldn't be concerned about constipation after surgery (common after any abdominal surgery). He told me the cramps that took my breath away and brought me to my knees post IUD insertion were definitely my colon and couldn't possibly be related to the surgery/insertion.

I was referred to Dr. Hjerpe by my pcp to have a possible. hysterectomy, I was very scared. My husband and I went in for a consultation with him. We were shocked how easy he was to talk to and he answered all our questions. The day of my surgery we ask him to pray with us. He did! I am 16 weeks post opt and doing great. I highly recommend Dr Hjerpe as a compassionate professional doctor! I did know there were ANY good ones left, but then we found him!

Dr Kent Hjerpe is an amazing physician & is our Program Director for Ob-Gyn Residents at Quillen. Although he is very busy with many responsibilities, the majority of his patients love and Respect him highly! I work at JCMC & he has been my personal doctor for 3 yrs. I feel very blessed to have him as my physician. Reading a few of the neg reviews makes me sad that when people don't get their way or want to jump online to bash...its always anonymous & done in spite. He is a Excellent MD!

Dr. Hjerpe was very rude and not compassionate at all, he didn't want to take care of me during my pregnancy instead he pushed me off on whomever was available that day. Although he was my doctor he never had any plans to deliver my baby. I will NEVER go back to him ever again. I don't need a rude doctor whom talks so fast I don't even have time to process what he had to say to me he always seemed "two busy" to take the time to explain anything to me.

This doctor was very busy and also had a medical student with him. Very fast speaking giving you no time to understand what he was saying or was he quiet enough to let you speak. Just thought he was a "know it all" and wanted things done his way. He did no further testing and sent me on my way still in pain. Went straight to ER after this incompetent visit. You the patient are in charge of your healthcare. Don't be bullied by quack doctors. Very stressful. Beware.

Very caring and compassionate doctor who has spent lots of time answering all our questions regarding my treatment and surgery. Excellent bed side professional manner. Complete confidence in him and have only praise for Dr Hjerpe while under his care the past few years.

Dr. Hjerpe is an awful provider. In an emergency situation, when compassionate care was not only warranted but necessary, he put my infant and myself at risk over his egotism. Despite the medical necessity of my induction due to oligohydramnios and having the opportunity to confer with both a highly trained MFM specialist and my own OBGYN, he elected to ignore prior medical advice and failed to treat my condition with urgency. I would rather cut off my own arm than interact with him again.

Dr. Kent Hjerpe gave our family excellent prenatal care despite my many health issues for 9 months. We were so blessed that Dr Hjerpe was also at the birth of our healthy baby boy! He went above and beyond to keep us fully informed of every detail and worked closely with all the ETSU team. We are so very thankful, and it's such a comfort when you completely trust your doctor.

Dr. Hjerpe performed my hystorectomy laproscopically when many other doctors would have done it abdominally because of the size of my uterus. He took extra care and time with me and my healing has been remarkable. He is professional and caring and a great surgeon.

Dr Hjerpe is an amazing physician who really cares about each person. He performed my laparoscopic hysterectomy and I was completely pleased with every aspect of my care. All the surgical staff told me how much he is respected by the staff. I just heard he is teaching at a medical school and helping train new doctors. I cannot think of a better person for that important job.
