Dr. Kent Ray, DO

For an endocrinologist he knows surprisingly little about anything. He blamed all of my problems on my weight and refuses to believe that I eat healthy and exercise. My weight is a symptom of my other problems but he can’t see beyond the number on the scale. He doesn’t seem to actually know what my lab results are. And all he did was recommend a super restrictive diet to me which is great for someone with a history of disordered eating. He was dismissive and doesn’t listen.

I waited 3 months to get an appointment with Dr Ray Kent and the man literally spent 7 minutes with me. It was painfully obvious he did not look at my history prior to walking into the exam room nor did he review any of my lab results ordered 10 days before my appointment. He actually asked the nurse “who ordered all these Labs ?” to which she replied “You did”. I actually had to tell him what my lab values were. He dismissed any of my concerns and told me what “I need to do” going forward. Ironically, if he would have taken the time to read any of my history and the history given to the nurse 5 minutes prior he would have known that I had already made the changes he was suggesting months ago. It was at this point I surrendered to the fact it was pointless to engage him with any further questions or discussion. Having worked in the medical field all of my life I have met my share but this guy takes the prize.
