I am writing this review to share my devastating experience with Dr. Kerianne Holman, who performed my gastric sleeve surgery 10 years ago. During the procedure, she severed my vagus nerve, which triggered Guillain-Barré syndrome, a rare and serious nerve condition leading to a decade of unimaginable suffering. After the surgery, I experienced multiple life-altering complications, including feeding tubes, colostomy bags, hernia surgeries, gallbladder removal, appendix removal, congestive heart failure from long-term malnutrition and a bowel obstruction. My health deteriorated to the point where I temporarily lost my ability to walk, talk, and eat. In an effort to salvage my health, I had to travel to the University of Michigan and the Mayo Clinic for revision surgeries. This cascade of surgeries and complications has taken an immense toll on my life and mental health.I never had a doctor treat me so bad after they butchered me. The Mayo Clinic said she butchered me. She is the doctor of death!

Undesirable
Lacked professional medical practices, and did not do a thorough job in preparation of my case prior to surgery. This resulted in a complete lack of trust on my part.

Dr. Holman was supposed to remove my gallbladder and put in a feeding tube after complications from my sleeve surgery left me unable to swallow and I was admitted to the hospital less than two months later for severe dehydration and malnutrition. The decision was made to remove my gallbladder (why they didn't check it before the initial surgery I don't know) and insert a feeding tube so I could get supplemental nutrition and my psychiatric medicine while relearning to swallow. Holman decided midway through the surgery to only remove my gallbladder because it HAD to be the cause of my issues. The hospital then refused to do the feeding tube based on her decision. Later, I was getting a central line put in for supplemental nutrition because I still couldn't swallow (shock) and she stopped by. She decided that it was best to start yelling at me to just "start swallowing", causing me to have an anxiety attack and terrified. Never use this doctor!!!

Dr. Holman is great! She was kind, supportive, and always had the time to answer all my questions. She’s a full time mom and works and that takes great character. I’m extremely impressed and highly recommend her. Have lost over 100lbs thanks to her support and her team as well.

Terrible follow up post surgery. My daughter had sleeve done, nothing but problems getting anything down and keeping it down. Been in hospital a week plus now for dehydration etc. not one visit from Holman, only contact was they PA. Holman messed up the sleeve now offers no solutions to remedy the problem. Would not ever recommend her just based on post op performance. Worst follow up procedure I’ve ever seen from a doctor.

Does not give the support needed after surgery. It appears the emphasis is quantity over quality.
