Dr Kevin Barber MD
Had surgery in may of 2022 with Dr Barber which did not go well. I have seen almost every doctor on his staff in the last ten months and still have not been given a reason as to why or if it can be rectified. They keep telling me that it was because I am a diabetic which they were fully aware of before the surgery. All I want to know is if something can be done to improve my situation. Apparently have to look elsewhere for a solution.

Cataract Surgery
Although a talented surgeon, there is no way to see him as a follow up to surgery if you encounter issues. You are referred off to the optometrists on staff. This is not acceptable. I have since had to find another ophthalmologist to correct the constant pain I have had for the last four months. Receptionist actually hung up on me after I insisted to see Dr. Barber.

I had some double vision and eye problems on 12/23. Called Dr Barber's office next day and he worked me into his busy schedule on Christmas eve. After some tests and questions said my symptoms were that of a TIA and advised me to go to the hospital immediately. It turned out I had a mini stroke! Thank you Dr Barber for taking the time to see me and the correct diagnosis. He and his staff were wonderful!

Dr Barber was referred to me by Dr Dustin Ramey do to cataracts. I’ve been to Dr Barbers Lake Mary office, Debary and Deland office, an have had a great experience at all three offices. Office staff Has been great to deal with. Dr. Barber performed cataract surgery on me this past week right eye with implanted lens. I upgraded to the laser procedure and from someone that as worn Coke bottles and Contacts all their life, I’m totally happy. After three days I’m at 20/30 and it should still improve. Having the left eye done this coming Tuesday, can’t wait. To be able to get up and not need to find my glasses or put my contacts in is great. I believe Dr Barber is on the cutting-edge, when come to cataracts. I would certainly recommend Dr Barber. Tim E

First time patient. The technician for refraction was excellent and front counter staff was professional. The Doctor spent 10 minutes with me after waiting for 90 minutes. Did not feel the exam was thorough enough nor did he provide information during the exam. I watched other patients come and go. I had to ask him questions. Would not recommend him nor will I return.
