patient review
Dr. Ferguson has been my psychiatrist for 30 years. Until recently, my appointments were in the office - now through 'Telehealth'. He has always been professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. I found him to be consistent, non judging, calm and consistent with a common sense approach. His medical knowledge was current. As I age, I feel more insecure physically, emotionally & mentally. The past few years have been some of the worst years I have experienced. Maintaining a consistent relationship with a trusted doctor helped me through it.

I've been seeing Dr Ferguson for 20+ years, both in the hospital and as an outpatient. He is understanding, compassionate and professional. He's helped me get over some rocky times in my life. I wouldn't want anyone else taking care of my mental health needs.

This is a Doctor that really listens closely. If you keep a medical journal, like I do and make it available to him, he is one that will actually read it. I've been seeing him due to my Addison's disease among other underlying conditions. Little did I know, anxiety and other symptoms I have he is able to treat and give great advice about my condition. I saw him for a year and a half before I was finally diagnosed with the very rare disease. I can't say enough good things about what this specialist has done. He has eased my suffering. Thank you and your dedicated staff for your support, during the most difficult time in life.

I have seen Dr. Kevin Ferguson both in and out-patient for a little over 2 decades. Not only was he instrumental in saving my life, but God has used him to make my life a "success story" for all to read! My family is forever grateful for this brilliant doctor and for his caring staff. Another patient summed it up well by saying that he listens and takes action based on what he hears. Since the pandemic, Dr. Ferguson offers telemedicine visits via phone or video chat. Highly recommended psychiatrist.

I saw doctor Ferguson for a few years, but he fired me..after writing several medications that did not work, saying I was not complying on 1 antidepressant-even though I was, & there's a mis-communication- & without even hearing my side-bc I'd titrated up on a antidepressant, AS DIRECTED- (NOT taken extra), so I'd run out of the sample & was fired via a letter, which I thought was crap.. as well as his threatening to call the police on me- for refilling my rx 1 day early, bc it is hard to keep up with- if the pharmacy calls you when it's on auto refill and says it's ready- you don't think there's a problem. I can tell you, after seeing other psychiatrists..there has never been a problem with anyone else..and I have never had another doctor threaten to call the police on me. It doesn't do much for trust!

Dr. Ferguson has been my dr. for many years. I have had ups and downs through that time and he has been a great listener during the rough times with good advice to help me through. He is quick to medicate, but it always makes things better. When I'm feeling good, my visits are shorter, but I'm fine with that! I've had great experiences with Dr. Ferguson

Dr Fergueson has been following me for several years both inpatient and outpatient. He is extremely kind, knowledgeable and respectful to you as a person. I can see how he is double booked who wouldnt want to see him.

My psychiatrist left for another practice - and Dr. Ferguson was one of the few doctors in the city taking new patients. You need to advocate for yourself, because you'll get 7 minutes at most and he's usually writing prescription refills for you as you walk in. Try to get an early appointment because he is often double booked. He takes insurance - one of the few psychiatrists in the city who does - which is a bonus. I get the feeling he'd care more if he wasn't ridiculously overbooked.

Dr. Ferguson has seen my child at Parkridge Valley Adolesent and Children’s Acute Facility. He attempted to call me the first day my child was there. I did not hear my phone and saw his missed call an hour later. I called back to return his call and was told he was not available. I asked for a callback that day to discuss the plan of care for my child (only 10 at intake). I have requested a callback every day since. Dr. Ferguson has not called. He had had no direct communication with me-5 days
