Dr. Kevin Gilbert, MD

I’ve been going to Dr Gilbert for ten years. I’m not sure what the other reviewer was referencing but he’s had mostly the same staff forever. The staff is efficient, nice, and attentive. Scheduling is perfect and so are sending in prescriptions and getting lab results. The staff also coordinates with other doctors you ask them to send results to. Dr Gilbert is attentive and very professional and outstanding in practice. He is careful with ordering tests and tries to limit radiation exposure. Easy to get along with and never confrontational or judgmental. What more do you want?

Kevin Gilbert and his new staffing team is HORRIBLE! Ms.Kim you’re the best! Ms.Opal, You deserve an even BIGGER RAISE THEN Kevin Gilbert! His attitude is disgusting! He needs to reevaluate his position! He stares at the computer screen more then he evaluates your health and well being. Upon you speaking about it he’s going to say WELL IM THE DR. Which you will forget because he look at you walk in and watch you walk out even faster. He’s very rude and disrespectful! Dr. Gilbert is professional, very thorough and extremely knowledgeable. His staff is professional, courteous and friendly. Excellent diagnostic doctor. Has familiarity with your medical history. Friendly receptionist. Easy access and parking. Dr. Gilbert would be an excellent family or primary physician.

My husband was feeling very sick. We explained it to Dr Gilbert and he disagreed. My husband ended up at the emergency of Good Samaritan that same night with a low salt and an enlarged brain in his skull.

I have been going here for three years. The office staff is amazing and they always are friendly and helpful when I call. I always receive a call back by the end of the day as well. I have never waited for anything from this doctor. Every time I’m there he is kind and thorough. I have never been happier with another primary doctor than I am with Dr. Gilbert and his office I was very sick a few months ago and was in and out of the hospitals with chronic migraine and every time I mention to my primary doctor was there was nothing but the upmost respect for Dr. Gilbert. Everybody seem to like him and respect him. That made me feel good. thank you Dr Gilbert and staff for all your kindness

I was living in a center that filled my prescriptions for me and they used different doctors so he accused me of seeing multiple doctors. I was also accused of lying about taking antidepressants, which I have no idea why I would do that. He made me feel like I'm nothing in a point in my life where I do feel like I'm nothing. No compassion just judgement. So instead of getting my antidepressants and blood pressure meds filled I wasted another day and haven't had them in 4 days.

I have benn going to Dr. Gilbert since 2014..I found him to be up front and knows just what is needed..Thank God he does not push meds..His staff is proficient..I left my previos doctor because he did not listen to me when I said I needed a chest xray because I think I have pneumonia.. Since I have had pneumonia several times in my life..You would think after 20 years with a doctor do you think he should listen to his patient's..I like Dr. GILBERTS PRACTICE, BECAUSE ITS NOT A PLACE FOR THEATRICS..Just get to job done..For those who think a doctor is only there to provide meds think again..Or hold your hand..I am pleased with his service..Thank you..

I would not return to his practice, I did not like the interaction between him and I. He did not talk to me with respect, I felt like my concern was not taken seriously, at the end of the visit I felt like I wasted my time and money going there. The only think he did was drew blood, left voice mail with the results of the blood test and billed my insurance, he never addressed the reason I went in to see him, my concern as a patient was unresolved.

I have visited Doctor Gilbert for years. He is an excellent doctor. He saved my life by recognizing that I have sleep apnea and told me that I need a CPAP. He is great in every way. It is always a pleasure dealing with him. I highly recommend him.

On 4/30/19 I put a 1 star review indicating how unhappy I was with Dr. Gilbert. Immediately the office & Dr. Gilbert addressed my concerns & have since then made things right! I wish I could erase the review and have decided because of my experience w/ the office & Dr. Gilbert I will address my concerns 1st with an office before posting such a negative review. He has been nothing less than professional concerning why I was upset and wanting to do what it takes to make things right. I would recommend his office and hope I can clean up any negativity by submitting my feedback in re-evaluating this provider. We all have bad days, my previous review was after one of them but He and his office has made it right. I hope this clears things up for anyone looking to go here. I work in the field and not many Doctors/staff would've handled a bad review with such care! Thank you Dr. Gilbert and staff!

If I could give Dr Gilbert zero stars I would. I am a nurse and I witnessed the worst characteristics of an physician. This doctor is rude and condescending. He is short and defensive. I will be contacting Humana to express my concerns. It was really sad and very painful to watch my love one interaction with Dr Gilbert. I read the reviews before taking my love one and I really believe the reviews that rate him higher than a zero is FALSE. There is no way Dr Gilbert could be rated anything higher than a zero. He is NOT a doctor who will explore or send you to a specialist when needed. I really believe if my love one remain under his care he will not LIVE long. Please readers be an advocate where your health is concern. If you are not getting the best results change immediately to a doctor who cares and wants improvements. Life is precious and you want to live the best you can. Go to a doctor who wants to make a difference in your health for the better. Dr Gilbert is NOT the right doctor

Dr. Kevin Gilbert has been our primary doctor for over 12 years since we moved down from New York and we never had any problem with him. We love the fact that he personally calls you with your lab results. No doctor that I know of does that, they usually make you come in for another office visit. He gives very good referrals when you need a specialist. So far the specialists he recommended we are very satisfied with. His office staff are very pleasant which is a plus.

What I like about this dr, is its him you see and talk to. He takes the time like old days, to call with your results and talk to you not a robot or office worker. Its a clean and nice office. Staff has been there a long time I like that they know me. I recommend. Also he was chief of staff at our hospital St. Marys.

Best dr I ever had. He actually listens to you

Dr Kevin Gilbert has been my primary care physician for almost twenty years and I have never received anything but excellent care at his practice. He listens and is an excellent diagnostician. I have referred him to many of my friends through the years.. The staff there have mostly been with him for many years proving he is a kind and gentle man.

Ill prepared and unqualified with referrals. Does NOT listen.

I was a patient of Dr. Gilbert for almost 3 years and he never once called me by my name! He is a poor communicator and didn't seem to listen to me. I went to him when I hurt my back and he advised me to take Tylenol. After 4 visits over a 8 month period, I was in such pain I could not walk more than 5 minutes without having to sit down. He never referred me to anyone for any tests or additional treatments. It was like he really didn't care. I have found another doctor who does care.

As a former nurse Dr. Gilbert was recommended to me by a prominent surgeon in the community. He is knowledgeable in his field and conservative in his approach. He is the family physician to not only myself; but my husband, 3 sons and daughter in law and to the many friends I have recommended him to.
