Amy, the receptionist, is the rudest person to ever man a phone. Why the doctor has someone, with so little class, answering the phones is beyond me. She would not even talk to me unless I had my insurance card. I call back with my card in hand, she gathers my info like I'm just another number, a machine. Then she tells me when the doctor can see me, on my work day.....wait, I tell YOU when I want to see the doctor! So I make an appointment, weeks in advance, typical. Two days before the appointment I get a call...Amy...'the doctor won't be available for your appointment but we have another one in 10 days'. Seriousy? No thank you. I WILL FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR! I'm thankfull I never made it in to see the doc, I can't imagine how bad that would have been. Thank you for the advanced warning. Stay away from this one.

Miracle Worker

Having been burned on medical costs before, my husband and I tried to make sure all providers for my husband's planned surgery were in-network, but despite a number of calls, we could not find out who the anesthesia provider would be. The morning of the surgery, we tried to get clarification and oh-boy, that set off a firestorm. Just by trying to get the information, Dr Huguet's knee-jerk reaction was to CANCEL THE SURGERY altogether. This was after surgery prep and planning for the necessary time off. We were shocked by his arrogance/attitude and resent being made to feel that we had done something wrong by asking questions. My husband, already attached to his IV, had to practically beg him to perform the scheduled procedure, which we had to take on faith would be covered. It was not a good look. When Huguet called post-surgery with the update, he asked me if 'Kim' had called to address my questions. I said she had not - and to date (3 weeks later) still nothing.

Dr Huguet presented me a chance to change my life, after always first handed seeing what it did for loved ones I’ve taken the plunge. He is hands on, knows his numbers and presents a plan to life long health, it’s only my job to follow it! I’m so excited and I’m starting the journey on 12/11 this year!!

There comes a time in your life when one is down and out with being overweight. Depressed and felt like I had no other option, God intervened and presented me with Dr. Huguet. Once I met him I know everything would be alright. The way he explained what was happening to me and the solution he presented, was so uplifting. He and his staff held me up throughout the entire process. Now I am a little over 1 week postoperative and I am so happy. He gave me a new life, a better and healthy way. I am forever grateful to Dr. Huguet.

Dr Huguet changed my life. I had gastric sleeve surgery in Nov 2021. I have lost over 100lbs. I’m living a life I never thought I would and it is all because of him! I wish I met him sooner!

My life is forever changed by Dr. Huguet. I had my sleeve gastrectomy 4 years ago and have lost 150 pounds, while gaining a whole new life! I don't have an IT degree so I was unable to fill out the patient questionaire. Calling back the office staff was insulting and frustrating. Happily I found another surgeon whose staff answered immediately(no press 1, 2.or 3), mailed me my paperwork and was bending over backwards to be helpful.

I was very pleased with the outcome of port placement procedure. I recommend Dr. Huguet.

In January, 2020 I had laparoscopic hernia repair performed by Dr. Huguet. It was explained to me that carbon dioxide gas would be placed in the abdomen causing swelling, but the swelling would return to normal in time. It is July(six months later) and I still have a roll of fat or something remaining from the surgery. The two post-surgery appointments were with the nurse practioner and not with Dr Huguet. For the second appointment, I requested to see the doctor because of the swelling and discomfort in my right testicle. Again, I did not get to see the doctor and was told everything was normal. Question: Is this problem normal for this type of surgery? The hernias have been repaired, but if I had the options again, I would have the old style operation and not have elected laparoscopic surgery. Not sure who I would have do the surgery.

I received excellent care from Dr. Huguet and his staff before, during and after my surgery. I highly recommend this doctor and the practice in general.

I absolutely love this surgeon! My father was diagnosed with colon cancer. Dr. Huguet did the surgery and unfortunately my father had to have a colostomy. Dr. Huguet managed to get ALL of the cancer and after a colonoscopy with Dr. Beljic, showing that my father was cancer free, Dr. Huguet reversed the colostomy. All of this was done in a six month time frame. My father is 86 and doing amazingly well due to this gifted surgeon. I cannot say enough about his talents, bedside manner, and warm and caring attitude. With an infectious smile he puts you at ease. His staff are all amazing too!

Be prepared to be seen at least 1.5-2 hours after your appointment time. All three of my appointments presurgery surgery and post surgery were over an hour and a half past the time of the appointment. The day after my bilateral hernia surgery I was having issues I call with my concerns and couldn’t even get a call back after 4 calls I finally spoke to a nurse who just told me to go to the ER come to find out they pierced my urethra w/ the catheter and I got stuck with the ER bill + surgery bill.

My husband had been in extreme pain for 6 years after a botched hernia operation We went to this Dr for a consult He was arrogant and downright condescending. He told us I'm here to tell you if you have a hernia and you DON'T its PROBABLY JUST A GROIN PULL Well my husband just had surgery a month later by a compassionate surgeon to remove mesh that was balled up and remove tons of adhesions & HE DID HAVE ANOTHER HERNIA which the other surgeon repaired . HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE~ some groin pull huh?
