Uncaring
He would not refer my husband to a chiropractor even though our insurance provides chiropractic coverage. He is not very friendly & seems not to care for patient well being.

Dr. Kevin Joyner, Primary Care
Dr. Joyner listens to your explanation and begins an intense, but relaxed, verbal examination in order to understand your problem(s) and then proceeds with a physical exam. Then he proceeds with his recommendations. His calm relaxed manner keeps a patient as ease through the entire process.

Dr. Joyner has been my GP for several years. He is an excellent, thorough doctor. He is very intelligent and attentive, and he spends as much time with a patient as needed to provide appropriate diagnosis and care. His nurse is responsive and prompt, and medications are always called in without delay or mistakes. I'm 56 years old, and he's the best GP I have had.

Dr. Joyner has been my physician since 2005. Sometimes the wait time is long, but it is always worth it when I finally see him. He is thoughtful, thorough, and very personable. He makes sure to listen to you and takes your concerns seriously. I think the best recommendation I can make is from my daughter in law. While waiting with my son to see Dr. Joyner, she became impatient and said, "I wouldn't use him as doctor". After they got in to see Dr. Joyner and he spent 45 minutes with them she said "I understand why you are willing to wait to see him. Wonder if he is on my plan so I can switch to him as my PCP". Dr. Joyner is the best!!

I’ve been a patient of Dr Joyner’s for 18+ years. I was put on disability, he filled out the paperwork, and as a result of I received Medicare. I also have two other forms of insurance through my company and my wife’s company. It took me 3 months to get in for cobalt encephalopathy and a check up. The day of my appointment I was turned away because I had Medicare. I was upset and asked to speak to the practice administrator, the practice administration came out and reiterated the point made by the nurse and asked me to please leave the office. I explained I had to arrange child care for the visit and the nature of my medical issue in front of a packed office only to be intimidated and yelled at in front of 10-15 people. I asked to speak to Dr Joyner and he called over a large male nurse to physically remove me from the office. Keep in mind i have cervical disk implants and a cervical spinal edema and walk with a cane. I just submitted my complaint to the TX medical board 4 Brett/Dr J.

Dr. Joyner has been my primary care physician for 8 years now, and my husband's for 10-12 years. He is definitely the best doctor (including specialists) either one of us has ever seen! He is never rushed. He is patient, thorough, and explains in plain language any question or concern we have. His diagnoses and advice have never proven to be incorrect. I am very thankful he accepts Medicare, as we are nearing that time. Do not know what we would do if we had to change doctors.

Their office has a high turnover rate of staff and nurses. He used to be a good doctor but tends to be judgmental. If you open up to him about treatment options for different issues he dismisses you. A doctor is supposed to help you, not be condescending. Wouldn't recommend.

My family has seen Dr Joyner for over 10 years, and he is a great doctor. He listens patiently, and ask pertinent follow up questions when dealing with my children to better understand their symptoms. He clearly explains diagnosis so that we can all understand, he doesn’t just say you have “X” and here is some medicine. Even though we moved an hour away, we have not changed doctors and we do not plan on changing!! I do recommend him to all our family and friends.

So Dr Joyner is my doctor. I just called because my blood pressure is elevated and i am slightly light headed. I wanted to see any doctor to be checked out. I was told “oh we don’t do that but if you want to speak to a nurse” really so exactly what do you do.

I have been a patient of Joyner for more than 2 years now, very unfortunately he's office and staff are the worst. Being a primary care doctor its his responsibility to make sure that he meets with his patients promptly and attend to their needs. That was not the case for me for some needs these past several months, but now it has become inexplicably terrible that, I was running a fever for the past 10 days for which I have been to an ER as well. Not enough space, pls check my google comments.

I was excited to find a provider close to home. I dealt with Dr Joyner for the first time, and he was knowledgeable. Then I received a bill after my well visit. Apparently this is because you can't answer a question when he asks you, "how you're doing". Once you answer him, you're now on a "sick visit". A 5 minute conversation turned into a "sick visit"??!!!?? This is fraud!!! I work with many providers and they all seem to agree with me! This was an annual check-up went totally wrong!

He is the best doctor and I hate that I have to leave him because of them not taking my insurance. I have been going to him for about 20 years. I cried because I can not go back to him. If you have a problem, just tell him whether it is medical or personal, he listens.
