Dr. Kevin Pikey, DO

I think Dr. Pikey is excellent. He is good at explaining what is wrong with your eyes and how he will treat it. I see him every 6 months and have done well. He is willing to tackle another condition needing surgery and proceed only if he is sure of safety and success. I have utmost confidence in him. He is nearly on time without me having to waitfor my turn. He apologizes if I do have to wait. He is kind and thorough. His staff is friendly and supportive.

Dr. Pikey has the personality of a door knob. Will never see him again.

DR. PIKEY IS CURRENTLY TREATING MY WIFE FOR CATARACTS. HE IS A REALLY COMPITENT OPTHAMOLOGIST WHO I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HIM. HOWEVER, THE PAYMENT SYSTEM THAT THEY HAVE SET UP IS A TOTAL DISASTER. THEY REQUIRE PRE-PAYMENT FOR CATARACT SURGERY, WHICH I DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH. HOWEVER, WE HAVE BEEN HAVING AN EXHAUSTING TIME TRYING TO PRE-PAY. IT SEEMS YOU CAN NOT PAY THE DOCTOR DIRECTLY, BUT HAVE TO PAY A THIRD-PARTY EPIC CENTER. THE WEEK PRIOR TO THE SURGERY WE GOT 4 CALLS IN ONE DAY FROM 4 DIFFERENT WOMEN FROM THIS EPIC CENTER REQUESTING PRE-PAYMENT. WE EXPLAINED THAT WE WERE TOLD WE COULD BRING A CHECK THE DAY OF THE SURGERY AND PAY. FOR THE SECOND EYE, WE AGAIN STARTED GETTING PHONE CALLS ABOUT PRE-PAYING. WE SAID WE WOULD LIKE TO AS BEFORE, THE DAY OF THE SYRGERY, BUT WERE TOLD WE COULD NOT DO THAT. EVENTUALLY WE GOT IT SORTED OUT AND MADE THE PRE-PAYMENT. IT IS THE ABSOLUTE DUMBEST PAYMENT SYSTEM EVER DEVISED BY MAN, AND SHOULD BE CHANGED.

Doctor Pikey does a great job of letting me know about the health of my eyes and the steps I can do to continue to see for the rest of my life!

Dr. Pikey has been our eye professional at Sabates Eye Center for many years and has always been outstanding. My wife and I both had Cataract Surgery. From pre surgery, to surgery to post surgery Dr. Pikey made the entire experience very comfortable as well as taking time to explain the entire procedure. I can write this because I can see, due to the excellent surgical skills of Dr. Pikey. He performed cataract surgery on both my eyes (not at the same time). I had basic surgery, non laser, and was anxious about his non laser skills as well as getting a more basic surgery (was the one insurance would cover in full). No cause for worry, he's amazing! He is serious, confident, and professional - what you do want from a surgeon. I found that Dr. Pikey listened to my questions and concerns. He's precise with information and provided availability to reach him after surgery, at any time if there was a need. There were no problems or concerns with this procedure because Dr. Pikey is clear, thorough and exceptional in his field.

Up front with options that are available for you personally as well as cost options. I had cataracts and decided on the adjustable lens. Had right eye done on July 1, 2022, Amazing to see the difference between the right eye and the left eye. Ready for July 8, 2022, for the left eye. The sky is blue not gray. I can see detail it's so crisp. (Not looking through fog)

Dr. Pikey performed my cataract surgery in January 2022. My surgery was complicated because I previously had Radial Keratotomy surgery and glaucoma. But Dr. Pikey assured me that I had a great chance of success. He was right. I did not have any problems and my eyes are now 20/25. I am very happy with the results. Thank you Dr. Pikey!
