Owes refund - good care though
The medical care that Dr Smith provided was great. However, his practice has owed me $962 for two months, and has not returned five voicemails I have left in this time. Extremely poor business practice.

Incredible Dr. Kevin Smith
Dr. Kevin Smith is incredible. Not only has he taken great care of my health, but also he is lovely to speak with at every appointment. It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. I highly recommend becoming his patient!

My appointment with Dr. Smith and his assistant went very well. They both gave me all the information I needed. They didn’t push or try to talk me into any treatment for my back. I will be going back with my decision on what I want to do. I highly recommend Dr. Kevin Smith

When I first came to Dr Smith I had no life because of the severity of my pain and condition. He gave me back my life. The kindness that has been extended to me by him and Alex and the rest of the staff has meant the world to me. I have a rare condition called Adhesive Arachnoiditis among many other things, I trusted Dr Smith and Had the Pain pump surgically implanted. Its amazing.....There is NO reason to live in severe pain or on the couch drugged out all the time. I was an athlete my whole life and to not be able to even drive my car was devastating. Dr Smith and Alex are up to date on the newest procedures and meds. I love them and am so grateful to them for being there for me. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a life!

Knowledgeable and compassionate
I am in good hands. I have been suffering with back pain for a few years now. It is getting progressively worse and now affects my quality of life. Dr. Smith took the time to read the information I provided at the time of my check-in and the MRI and gave me a list of solutions. Once we agreed on a procedure, Dr. Smith explained the procedure right then and there and his staff got the approval that same afternoon! I can't begin to explain all the times I have waited to hear back on referrals! I could write a book!!! Dr. Smith's staff are also very professional and kind.

Dr. Smith performed a trial neurostimulator, which was amazing. I went forward with permanent implant. 5 months later and my pain is worse than before. A sales representative then became my doctor. The doctor did not respond to telephone calls or messages. It has been a horrible experience. Actually, I would rate the experience as a zero.

Dr. Smith and his PA Aleksandr Filen are competent and nice. Their staff are neither. After interacting with the office for five weeks I encountered rudeness, lying and failure to contact my PA Aleks. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who is in pain and needs timely attention.

I agree with several of these reviews. Dr Smith is awesome. His receptionist needs to be replaced by someone mature and with experience. She is absolutely inept to try to deal with. I have written Dr Smith a letter of complaint, which is not something I would normally be provoked to do

While Dr Smith’s front office is mediocre, you should still try hard to hang in there with him. If you aren’t getting what you need, simply write him a letter! You can’t afford to miss the finesse this doctor possesses. Dr Smith knows pain and has experienced it himself. He has a lot of different tools up his sleeve so don’t give up. Both me and my husband see him and appreciate all he does to make us feel better. If not for him, I would have gone out of my mind with nerve pain from a back surgery gone awry. Your patience with his staff will pay off in the end.

Dr. Smith is so knowledgable and he changed my life. I received stem-cell in my knee that has a torn meniscus. Before treatment, I had intense pain and it was difficult to walk, swelling every night. Today, after receiving stem- cell, I am free of pain. I am able to work and live my life active. His knowledge of stem-cells therapy and the work he is doing will change many lives to giving patients anew quality life.

I would give a zero, if it was an option. Was given a questionnaire with such inappropriate and not medically relevant questions such as, was I sexually abused in pre-adolescences (among many other questions, which were not medically relevant and therefore an invasion of my privacy) that I refused to fill that out. They were unable to give me explanations on how numerous questions were relevant to my consultation for back pain. They did not offer to have perhaps a nurse explain the questions and was told the doctor would not see me if I didn’t fill it out. The next day they called and said the doctor prefers I see someone else. When I explained that I wanted to speak to the doctor re the questionnaire during my visit, the office manager said “ again, the doctor prefer you see someone else”. This is NOT the way they should have handled this. I have every right to ask for an explanation. This makes me wonder about this doctors background. I have filed a formal complaint.

Management staff at Dr Smith's office are very insensitive regarding patent needs. I've had to cancel appointments only to have them say they did not receive my message. I called Dr Smith's office to let them know I was going to be in the hospital. They said I had missed appointments at the time I was in the hospitalI Last week I called to make an appointment and I was refused. I was very distressed

Totally, negligent care, and office mismanagement. Calls not returned, authorizations not made. Had complications from an epidural, and not sure Dr. Smith ever knew I came in with much pain, and possible infection. Never heard from anyone in the office to find out if I was O.K. Followup was, again, to be with the P.A. I had, 2 yrs. ago, 7 epidurals, over 2 yrs. with another Dr., and never had a problem, so this wasn't my first Rodeo.
