I had a torn ACL in my right knee. I found that Dr. Thompson was very thorough with his assessment but felt he lacked bedside manner perhaps due to his age. He kept referring to my age (65) and how most people my age (as if I had one foot in the grave!!) did not have their ACL repaired but rehabbed it with exercise. I informed him that I was a very young active 65 yr old and I wanted the surgery!! He is a very good surgeon. Office staff not friendly and overbooked appts. No room to sit.

I believe Dr. Thompson is a good doctor-I could not recommend him to anyone due to the attitude of the office. I was told by Dr. Thompson to call if ANYTHING changed before my next appointment. It did and when I called I was told I would just have to wait until Dr. Thompson returned (that would have put me waiting AT LEAST a week and a half. I have a new diagnosis of Osteonecrosis of my right knee and now both hips...my primary doctor has been the one to order the xrays and MRI's. Pain=9
