Dr. Kevin Waits, MD

unfortunately dr. waits fusion surgery led to the screws rubbing against my nerves which has causes permanent nerve damage. my leg doesn't move anymore.

You never see the doctor. Just PA after PA after PA after the doctor cuts on you. Does this even make sense?

It’s been almost a year since I had a C2-T2 radiculopathy with Dr. Waits. I waited to post this review.Pros:He is enthusiastic and appears to be aware of all the latest procedures. He spent a good deal of time before the surgery explaining what he would do.Cons:Despite what his Patient Portal says - I never got any replies to my emails about the surgery or the follow up.After the surgery - it is doubtful you will ever see the doctor again. I only really saw his PA afterwards.It seems it is only about the surgery, NOT any follow up care. Evidently some patients have had a different experience than I have, but there are still plenty of reviews that show the indifference in his office.I doubt he pays any attention to these reviews because it seems obvious, at least in my case, that once the surgery was performed, he had little interest in seeing me again. After a year, I ask myself would I have this complicated surgery again. My answer is perhaps yes, but NOT with Dr. Waits.

Absolute worst team this guy leads. No compassion, no organization, no replies on timely manner, no follow ups. My dad is in severe pain and his third rate nurse who never did any post visit follow up requested an MRI thsts scheduled 3 months out. He could have easily admitted my dad to the hospital and request Stat MRI. We even requested this directly from Emory hospital and they stated the this DR. refused to do so stating my dad can wait ? Really ? They aren't the one in level 9 out of 10 pain. It will me my mission to share this experience network wide and all possible channels. Anyone considering this guy and his horrific team should consider other Neurosurgeons.

Dr. Waits and staff (includes office) were very compassionate and helpful to me during a time in my life where I was experiencing excruciating pain. I was incapacitated by severe radiculopathy in my legs which required surgery. I am profoundly grateful for his, Sammy's, and Ali's expertise as well as the genuine kindnesses of his office personnel. They all contributed to my healing journey.

Dr. Waits was very personable. He took his time explaining my problem, and presented several options to correct my back issue. His PA and office staff were very helpful. Dr. Waits successfully performed the surgery. Thanks to him I have a much better quality of life.

Unfortunately this office is terribly inefficient and Dr. Waits has no concern for my time.

Even though I had an appointment with Dr. Waits, I never actually got to see Dr. Waits. Instead, I saw his PA. Unfortunately, I still don't have a definitive answer to my problem
