Professional, Thorough, Friendly
I just selected Dr. Malhotra as my PCP. Fresh out of my first visit with her I can say hands down she's the best PCP I've had over the past two decades. She was professional and friendly, wanted to get to the bottom of all my conditions. Ferreted out of me the things I usually forget to mention. In short, gave me thorough session. She listens carefully and then provides detailed explanation for her diagnosis. Very happy to be landed with this doctor. Knock wood.

Can’t get in for acute problems
Apparently her panel of patients has grown so large that you can’t get an appointment for a new or worsening problem. It’s always “come to the walk-in clinic”. When you do that, they don’t look at your record, not knowing anything about you, there is no continuity of care and it’s like reinventing the wheel and not digging down. I’m about to look for another provider who’s able to see patients for acute issues. All they have to do is leave a portion of her appointments open so that she can see her patients when they’re having an acute problem. As of now, this is totally unacceptable.

I've been seeing Dr. Malhotra for two years. She is always concerned about her patients and will follow-up on any abnormal test results. She listens to what the patient has to say and make treatment decisions accordingly. I like her thoroughness.

Great experience
Dr. Malhotra takes the time to talk to her patients and answer any questions he or she may have. I have been seeing her for 3 years and about to move, and all this time she was very compassionate and caring through my illness. Her beside manner really is wonderful, and her staff is awesome.

I had been seeing this doctor for about 2 years. Initially everything was fine, but as time went on, she consistently blamed things I had brought up on my mental health or weight. Going as far as not referring me to people when needed and treating me for things outside of her expertise. I went in with an issue and she blamed it on my weight. I went in again when it became more of an issue, and finally I got put into surgery for it. When I came in about a year later for consistent pain from said surgery, I was told that she thought my issues were due to "untreated mental health issues" and that I should find a psychiatrist and therapist for it instead of addressing my concerns. She didn't even try to inquire further or run any tests. Save yourself the hassle and find a doctor who will actually listen and help you.

I am very happy. Since my first visit I have gained about 20 much needed pounds. She took me off medicine that I did not need and she is making sure I am only taking what I do need. She is very easy to talk to and her staff is so friendly and helpful.

I liked her a lot at first when she first began in Lubbock, but it's now become a referral service to another specialist regardless of what your problem is. Either that or she doesn't treat you at all. I do not feel like she is listening to what the actual problem is. She looks at your record and says well you had this in the past so I'm sure that's what it is. I miss the doctor that treated your ailments and listened to what you were saying before referring you to a specialist.

Dr. Malhotra is a wonderful physician. I had the same PCP for 20 years and when she moved, I started seeing Dr. Malhotra. I had been chronically ill for about 10-12 years with no explanation. On my 2nd visit with Dr. Malhotra she diagnosed me and sent me to a specialist for treatment. I now live a very happy, full life and feel fabulous. I would recommend Dr. Malhotra to anyone. She cares for her patients, spends time with them, explains everything and is a fabulous diagnostician. She literally saved my life!

No I would not recommend It is extremely hard to get a call back from the office for my Mother. She is in poor health and this office has not been timely with returning calls. We have had problems getting orders sent to home health agencies for equipment that is needed.
