Excellent Care
Dr. Kim Mai has provided excellent care to me. She performed barricade laser procedures on both of my eyes prior to cataract surgery to prevent detached retinas two years ago. Recently, Dr. Mai helped me retain my vision as I was hit with two eye diseases. Her immediate care and her efforts to get me in to see a neuro ophthalmologist helped me to save my vision.

Great doctor
Emergency eye care needed. Dr Mai and her staff were awesome. Very attentive in or out of office. Answered my questions so I understood the answer, not just medical terms.

Dr. Mai’s office is so Organized and Efficient
I have been to Dr. Mai’s office 2 times, I was so impressed with how organized and efficient it is. Each employee is amazing, very professional and truly concerned about my comfort and care. I was very thankful with the amount of time Dr. Mai spent explaining everything in detail to me. If I come across someone needing eye care of any kind, I will happily and confidently recommend Dr. Mai and her staff without hesitation. I read the few negative reviews and can’t believe what I read! I’m in the service industry and know that sometimes you can bend over backwards for your clients, and it’s never good enough or up to their lofty expectations!! Thank you Dr. Mai, I am so thankful that you are my eye care Doctor! Norm

Office Mismanagement
Third time to bring my father to visit and still the rudest front office clerk. More importantly, they try to fill as many people into the office as they can which leads to EXTREMELY long wait times (30-45 post-appointment time. And when you see Dr. Mai, it is only for a very brief amount of time. I would encourage anyone to find another specialist before selecting this office. It is unnecessary punishment for an elderly person to wait that long before being seen.

Rudest front desk
Shane dr us goid but the woman at the front desk is so rude. Do your job look up Peoples insurance before the patient gets there and don’t be so obnoxious. This isn’t a once if either every time she’s the same

Wonderful Vitrectomy Surgery
Following my cataract surgery, I was still having trouble seeing. It was like I was looking through milky film. Dr. Mai diagnosed floaters (to me it was like sheets of stuff) in my vitreous fluid that needed to be removed. She did the vitrectomy surgery on my right eye on January 12th, and the result is truly amazing. I can see more clearly out of that eye than I have been able to in a long time. I am looking forward to having my left eye done and heartily recommend Dr. Mai and this procedure for anyone having trouble with persistent floaters. Dr. Mai was amazing.

Spent about 2 hours at the clinic of which about 10 min was with Dr. Mai. She is patient and answers your questions, however, I cannot fathom how the visit cost $500 when the tests were not much different than those performed at an optometrist's office and were performed by technicians. Hope you have great insurance and you have paid your deductible because if you don't, you will be shocked by the out-of-pocket expense.

Dr. Mai Is by far the best clinician I have ever encountered in any field of medicine. Concise, articulate in laymen's terms. Informative, and most of all concerned with your well being. And most can agree Surgeons of half her caliber exudes an air of unapproachability. She maintains the far gone "family doctor" attitude and professionalism. In my humblest opinion.

Staff does not keep accurate accounting records. You will end up paying the same bill multiple times or they will send you to a collection agency. I just paid it. No idea if the is intentional or just incompetence but I just paid my way out of it. Avoid this place.

My experience in this office was outstanding. Upon examination she discovered I had a Retina Detachment as well as tears in my Retina. She patiently explained what this meant and was very compassionate with me as I was very emotional and did not know I came close to losing my vision in that eye. She was very professional did not rush me, she answered all my questions and concerns with much details. The staff is very pleasant, helpful and patient. I am very happy I found this office.

Dr. Mai has been a GOD sent blessing. My retina became totally detached on 2/17/18 and not really understanding and fully knowing what this meant at the time was definitely a scary time for myself. Dr. Mai explained in detail with compassion on what needed to take place and has been by my side every step of the way during this time. I had my surgery on 2/23/18 and am healing great thanks to prayers, GOD and most of all Dr. Mai. I do not know what I would have done if not for Dr. Mai :)

From the beginning of my first appointment with Dr. Mai, I knew I could trust her opinion and her expertise. She explained my condition and treatment options in a way that was easily understood, even using a model of the eye to make clear what she was saying. After talking with her, you know your best interests and eye health are her number one goal. She makes you feel that you matter as a person and as a patient. Dr. Mai is a compassionate listener and an excellent ophthalmologist!
