Dr. Kim Owens, MD

I can't begin to express my gratitude for Dr. Owens and her amazing team. Her office is so welcoming and she is sure to address all of your concerns. I was pleasantly pleased to find a PCP so genuinely caring and compassionate for her patients.

A medical professional that I've been familiar with for at least half a decade - her and Dr. Cason were the best of the best at the AU Med Clinic. I graduated and got to experience some of the other options the city of Auburn had to offer...let's just say, the second I found out Dr. Owens had her own practice, I signed up. Did more for me in my initial appt than my previous Dr. did at all. Does not automatically prescribe medicine or other customary practices you exp. with some docs. I had 10 plus topics I wanted to cover and she listened and opined on each one. Understanding front office. Pretty cool office decor. Overall, doctors like this simply restore your faith in the Alabama and United States Healthcare Systems.

Before starting to see Dr. Owens I dreaded going to ANY doctor. Dr. Owens is the first doctor that I felt truly respects me and my knowledge about myself. We work together as a team for my health. I have never felt so heard by a doctor. And while I may not be a Christian, she is and she asked respectfully before she prayed for me at the end of my first appointment, and I said sure because there is no reason to not let someone put positivity for me into words. I found her on Healthgrades as a doctor in Valley, AL with outstanding reviews but when I called to get an appointment I was told she had moved to a practice in Auburn, that would mean an extra 30 minute drive, but I went out on a limb and went to Auburn and I'm so glad I did. I have been her patient since 2019 and have no plans to go anywhere else. She is totally worth the 45 minute drive. And I have now followed her to her new practice and as long as she is driving distance I will go to her.

Dr. Owens takes the time to listen to your problem, and does not jump to assume what is wrong! After your appointment you feel like you are part of her family! Finally a doctor that care about the individual.

From the time I walked in the building, to the preliminary weight check, Q&A to exam itself… there’s not enough stars to explain my visit. Dr. Owens was the most thorough, attentive, kindest, peaceful, Dr. I have ever had. She listened and really tuned in to my needs… I highly recommend her!

Dr. Owens will go the extra miles for you. Twice before she has made phone calls and arranged referrals to help with complicated issues for me. Recently I needed a MRSA test for an upcoming surgery. I had gotten my other labs at the free standing clinic in Auburn, for some reason they would not do the swab test. I made several calls to find a provider. We got in touch with DR Owens, and they had never done the test either. She said “stand by” I will make some calls to see if they could provide it. She found a lab to run the test and said come right on up. I was on a tight schedule and this test take 3 to 5 days to incubate. She made call, several follow calls and even went to the office on Sunday to pickup the fax results for me. Great person and great Doctor.

I had a primary doctor I had used at the medical pavilion for the past year, he was ok... The last month or 2 he left for another position. I ended up with an appointment under Dr. Owens today, hoping she’d be my new normal physician... She was a blessing... better then my normal physician that had left. She took her time,she was thorough and extremely knowledgeable.. She was almost like a blessing, I would recommend her to anyone needing a family physician.

I meet with DR. Owens on 8-28-17 and this was my first time seeing her. my wife has been going to her for a while and has always said great things about her. I have been battling depression and anxiety over the past 3 years over loosing both parents and a brother and she showed great concern and listened to what was bothering me and most of all prayed for me at the end of the visit as she had learned that I attend church and knows my pastor it really touched me and I experienced emotions I lost

Dr. Owens is the best physician I have ever seen. She is caring, knowledgeable, and thorough. She never seems rushed, though the office is always busy. I can't say enough good words about Dr.Owens.
