Dr. Kimberly R Orr, DO

I have seen Dr. Orr when my doctor has been out or unavailable. I saw her the day after Christmas with self-diagnosed covid from a test obtained at the Daleville Carilion Clinic. I have never gotten any kind of satisfaction whenever I've seen Dr. Orr which has only been a couple of times. BUT it will definitely be my very last time seeing her. All she has ever done for me is given me a 'token' medication that doesn't help (in this case a cough syrup that puts me to sleep for hours then I wake up coughing my head off with the very same symptoms. Then when I call a couple days later she wants me to come back for another listen to my lungs which are exactly the same as they were four days ago and possibly get a chest Xray. I get very little rest from the coughing and that's only after taking the cough medicine that knocks me out for hours just to wake up again coughing my lungs out. I'm so very sore and exhausted from all the coughing and inability to eat.

The day after I saw Dr. Orr, I highly recommend her to my sister. I had lots of symptoms. Nothing specific stood out. She ordered tests to find out what was wrong. I thought she was very thorough.

She is rude, abrupt, and rushes through apts. makes patients feel like numbers and not individuals. by far the worst provider I have ever had.

She does the easiest thing for HER. Doesn't like to be challenged. If you don't fit neatly into her box of guidelines, forget it. I don't like her at all.

I have been seeing Dr Orr for about 5 years. She does not listen to her patients when you are explaining your issue. Last year I hurt my left back/hip. After weeks of Chiropractor visits, I was told I needed to see an Orthopedic/Hip Doctor. She would never give me a referral and kept telling me there was nothing wrong with my hip. One of my other doctors told me to call Carilion Orthopedic and ask for an appointment, per his recommendation. I did that and was diagnosed with Bursitis and had 2 months of physical therapy and then an injection. I am now better. She is very moody.

Dr Orr is worthless. She spent all of 10 minutes with me.

She has absolutely no bedside manner. She is very judgmental and appears to have the "I'm God" complex. Hopefully with more experience and treating patients as a whole(can't separate head from body or the body from the head)Holistic approach, working on her "people skills" one day she will see human beings are human.
