Dr Chan treated me with professionalism and kindness . He totally explained to me what is my condition and alleviated my fears. I am very comfortable and satisfied with his medical expertise.

Among other issues we had with Dr. Chan, I had a severe pain behind my nipple- i had been very concerned for a few months even considering it could be something as serious as breast cancer! Dr Chan literally told me it’s because I’m growing “man boobs”. For one, I have been overweight for some time so the “man boobs” as he called them, weren’t growing they had been there his entire adult life. The pain was new. Aside from his presentation being completely offensive and unprofessional, he didn’t even address the concern properly. This guy should have been working in a lab somewhere out of the public. What a horrible experience. He’s condescending. Doesn’t listen at all. Casts judgement.

Dr Chan is rude, doesn’t listen, and has zero compassion empathy. My husband was essentially berated for being over weight although the had a number of other medical concerns including lifelong rheumatoid arthritis. He scared our 3 yr old son, and continued to make assumptions that we eat burgers and pizza every night because we could stand to lose some weight. Repeatedly asked us what we eat even though we very clearly expressed to him, to were aware of our need to lose weight and have all the tools necessary to do that for ourselves. Just overall terrible. Idk how Kaiser even employs a person like this.

I had the most uncomfortable office visit with Dr. Chan. He did not listen at all and had a diagnosis in his before taking the chance to listen to me. He got off track in asking about other health issues except for the one I was there for. He was demeaning personally and in my view, he is not fit to be a physician. The experience was so inappropriate to the point of me walking out of his office and asking to meet the clinic supervisor.

Does not seem to listen to your reasons for your illness. Sometimes a patient knows himself better as to what is happening and different. When multiple symptoms appear they can be caused by one underlying cause. He needs to connect the dots better rather than send you to a specialist for each symptom when that is not what is needed and it just prolongs finding what the problem is.
