I had a large cyst removed from my forehead by Dr. Minkis and she did such a terrific job that I totally forget that it was ever there. Very kind, thorough and quick.

dr minkis is excellent
I have been treated by Dr Minkis since she commenced her practice at NY Cornell many years ago. Dr Minkis is highly dedicated, capable and experienced with Mohs and low impact skin surgeries. In excess of 15 visits I have the highest regards for her diagnoses and corresponding treatments. Her staff, almost without exception are wonderful and caring. Highly recommend

Dr. Minkis is the best. I was surprised and upset when my dermatologist found a melanoma in situ on my foot. I was referred to Dr. Minkis for excision and Dr. Minkis was professional, thorough, and reassuring. She followed up with me to check on the wound healing, encouraged and answered all my questions in a way that did not feel rushed, and generally made a scary experience feel manageable.

I have had a series of Pulse Dye Laser treatments which have been effective in reducing redness on and around my nose. Dr. Minkis is professional, straightforward and thorough. If you are someone who needs a more warm and fuzzy bedside manner, you may not like this dactor’s approach. My issues are around scheduling and wait times. The Laser room is shared between the doctors, and they were ALWAYS behind schedule. Frustratingly, this often led to wait times greater than one hour. Beyond that, PDL cannot be scheduled online and requires talking to the office, which could also be a challenge. Again, my treatments all used the PDL, so other treatments/services may have shorter wait times and easier scheduling than I experienced. Those issues aside, the services Dr. Minkus provided were effective. As always, ask lots of questions (which the doctor was happy to answer) and make sure you understand your expectations about the results of your treatment.
