I am a veteran trying to obtain medical records from Dr. Nanji's office. I've been told multiple times that my records were destroyed during Hurricane Michael in 2018. For years, I've tried to connect with this doctor for VA purposes with my disability, but to no avail. Finally, two months ago before my appt with the VA rep, I asked simply for a letter stating what insurance codes were submitted to my insurance that I had paid for: Q6650, G5791, R600, M7741. I was seen on four different dates prior to Hurricane Michael in 2018. Feeling like this is practically a wash and nothing will happen with it, I called back the day before my VA rep appt. The woman who took my call was extremely rude and short with me. It's unfortunate that healthcare has such uncaring and rude people associated. After mentioning my situation to this woman and that I had an appt the next day, she immediately said, this will not be done by then, and chuckled. I personally, found my situation to not be of a laughing matter. I've had this appt with the VA for over a month, and have been waiting for the follow up from this particular podiatrist for two months. I think this is a unique situation from this office, but still doesn't negate the fact that she hung up on me twice: the first time because I was upset that I was being laugh at, and second because when she called me back the first time she then wanted my personal email address to try and do what I had asked during the first phone call. Personally, I did not feel comfortable giving out any more of my personal information to this woman because she seemed very emotionally unstable for a healthcare worker. It didn't feel appropriate to continue interacting with someone like this about my personal matters. Once I wouldn't give her any further of my information, I asked to please speak to the doctor. She said "Lady you had your chance," multiple times, and proceeded to hang up on me a second time. I cried for 30 minutes after this interaction because I had ask to speak to the doctor, which would have been really great, but really I just wanted to speak to anyone but her. She was making me shake with how she was treating me and my concerns as a patient. This is the first time in all my life I have been treated so poorly, because of an oversight on a offices behalf. My background is also in healthcare, and I would never ever treat a disabled veteran the way this woman did. She mentioned that "Luckily her doctor was standing right beside her" at the time of the first phone call, and he told her that no she wasn't laughing. But to me, a concerned vet, I know what a chuckle is and it's gut wrenching when it is in response to a duty related injury. The disappointment that accompanies this is deafening. I'm writing this review in response to the interaction I had with this woman, and the abhorrent behavior she displayed towards me. No patient, no vet, no injured person, concerned about their health records and status should ever be mocked at and hung up on twice. I am appalled IF the doctor did in fact sign off on this behavior, because I had much respect for this man during my four appts that I had received care. I have great empathy for what the hurricane has done to all of us, but this interaction today was a first, left me shaking for hours, sick to my stomach and just very very sad. I do hope it was isolated, and this woman is not like this with other patients. I have no hope that I will ever receive documentation of my appts in 2018, and frankly, I'm far too scared to call this office back. I would never go here again if it were an option in the future, and I hope those that do go, don't receive this type of treatment at all. No person deserves being treated that way, especially a veteran who has served their country proudly and with honor.

Dr Nanji is the best. Bedspread manner great makes you feel very comfortable. I wouldn’t go to any other Dr. He’s the best. His staff is great, very patient and nice to me. I was laughing and talking to everyone, the sweet receptionist said I made everyone day. They are the best in my opinion.

Dr Nanji cared for my elderly mom and was absolutely committed to resolving my moms deep foot infection. After a long thorough surgery, he solved my mothers foot problem. He was committed to enabling her to walk again. Dr Nanji's level of commitment and high level of competency make , in my mind, the only Dr in this area I would ever consider for a serious foot problem.

Very caring, excellent bedside manner, wonderful staff. My teenage son and I were both treated and even though my son is squeamish with needles, he agreed that Dr. Nanji was great. That says quite a bit since teenagers can be brutally honest! :0)
