Thorough and reliable
Despite the lapse of time between routine colonoscopies Dr Tiriveedhi remembers me and details about my history. It is quite possible she does a review prior to our meeting which I applaud! Many others have the computer screen in front of them and mumble a history back to the patient…I find Dr Tiriveedhi attentive and involved. She addresses each question or concern thoughtfully and thoroughly.

Not a compassionate or attentive caregiver
When I realized I was not having food poisoning episodes but something else, my primary sent a referral to Dr Tiriveedhi. Waited 2 months to get in. Because I didn’t know what was wrong I went on a strict elimination diet for those 2 months. My face to face with her was less than 15 minutes. If she was any farther away from me she wouldn’t have been in the same exam room. She repeatedly interrupted me and was very dismissive. Barely examined me. Seemed like she’d already decided what testing she was going to order. Wish she’d just ordered the tests when I’d scheduled the appointment 2 months prior. I went and had blood drawn immediately for the tests. I got the results through the MyMercy app 5 days after the appointment but have yet to get a written or verbal response from her. When I’ve messaged, her staff has replied with check back next week or we’ll let the doctor know. The one time she tried to call a few days ago, I was not able to pick up so I guess I am out of luck

With a history of colon cancer in my family, Dr. T has been my gastroenterologist for years. Her personal responses to my queries and concerns is reassuring. I can’t count the number of polyps she has removed and had biopsied. Today’s colonoscopy cleared up cause of suspect bowel blockage. No more worry… and I’m too old to worry! Thank you, lovely Tiriveedhi!

Unprofessional with no bedside manner
I saw Dr. T for lower GI issues. I spoke with her for five minutes at the most and was interrupted several times while trying to speak. She was in a rush and I didn't get the impression she cares for her patients. I had to call a few times to have my test results interpreted and never received a call. I ended up going to a different GI doctor and have been very happy with his care of me and my diagnosis.

Unprofessional, interrupts and doesn't listen. She rushes through and just wants the paycheck. She has no interest in anything involved, just throws meds at you and sends you away. Wish I had seen reviews before going to her, could have saved a lot of time, money and agony.

Terrible care. I went in for follow up on a colonoscopy and the resident helping Dr. T came into the room and said, "oh, you're here for Crohn's? Well, at that time, I hadn't been diagnosed and was very surprised. A prescription was giving, but no information on what to eat or other things to do for the disease. I should have run to another doctor after that experience... Fast forward to the Sunday before Christmas and I'm experiencing symptoms. The on-call doctor wouldn't prescribe meds without a C-Dif test. I did not have any C-Dif symptoms. Monday, Laura, Dr. T's nurse is supposed to send lab orders to my local lab. They never came through. I waited for 1-1/2 hours and finally left in tears. Called Laura and she said there was nothing she could do. Nothing like hosting 30 people for Christmas during a flare and complete lack of care from your doctor. Would not recommend, terrible bedside and not what you would expect from a member of your care team...

I waited 1 hour until I was finally seen (and while waiting in the room for that long, not one person came in to give me an update on the hold up). Dr. Tiriveedhi saw me for about 5 minutes. Barely asked any questions, interrupted me while I was trying to speak, hurried through the entire process. Extremely unprofessional and borderline rude. Then my prescription was supposed to be called in to my insurance company for approval and this was never done. It has been 2 days now and the pharmacy is unable to fill the script. They said they have tried to reach out to the office several times. We are now going into the weekend so I have to wait 2 more days so that they can reach out to the office again on Monday. This is a condition that is causing me severe pain daily and I could have been 5 days into taking the antibiotic, but because of this office's unprofessionalism, I have to wait.

I have had two colonoscopies performed by Dr. Tiriveedhi and both times she talked with my husband and I about the results and had suggestions for diet. I have been pleased with my treatment.

Initial visit for severe GI issues, including two hospitalizations, went fairly well. Staff nearly forgot to order/run tests until nearly walking out the door. FIFTEEN days later and we are STILL waiting for a prescription. Insurance didn't cover the first two meds, but insurance provided Dr. a list of accepted prescriptions. My pleas for help: RN (Lisa, Shannon) we are doing everything we can - putting a note in her inbox and she hung up on me disagreeing that isn't everything.

I was told by Tiriveedhi that I would be tested for celiac disease. Mercy hospital lab confirmed the test was $34.00. I received a bill in the mail for $800.00 that my insurance would not pay due to the high cost. She ordered a genetic testing and told me celiac. She never told me she would order his expensive test nor asked. According to my new GI Dr and everything on line that has been researched no Drs start with this test but a simple $34.00 test. She neglects and in it for the money

I have a family history of colon cancer and diverticulitis. I went in with severe RUQ pain, recurring constipation and lower belly pain. She did an upper endoscopy and said there's nothing wrong. During my follow up (2 weeks later) she diagnosed me as having IBS. Now, I feel that with my family history, more should've been done. Supposed to see her again in 6 weeks but I think a 2nd opinion instead. All she did was put me on a $100+ laxative that I can't afford. No cure for IBS, but is it IBS?

Nice enough, but not particularly personable. MORE IMPORTANTLY: she doesn't listen very well. She's one of those Dr's who does more talking than listening. Scheduling staff messed up my first appointment which worked in my favor, but had to wait 2 weeks for a follow up after an upper endoscopy (left before I even woke up, no explanations) and it sounds like it's not going anywhere if talking to the nurse is any indication. No clue why I'm in daily pain, w/ family history of GI problems & PCOS

Dr. T is nice but when I needed to get in for a sick visit I was put off several weeks, then had to wait 3 weeks to get 2 procedures done. Could only do 1 and was told to reschedule the 2nd one asap. (Told earliest was 2.5 wks.). I was so sick I tried to contact again with phone and Mymercy site. When I finally got a response 3 days later I was told to postpone 2nd test for 6 months (why?) and she couldn't be contacted until next week.(no treatment orders were given).
