Dr. Kirt Kirchmeier, DMD

I'm generally relaxed and never anxious at the dentist's. I had a filling replaced. This Dentist barely greeted me. No eye contact whatsoever. The way he handled my whole mouth was heavy-handed. He never explained the process nor paused to check in and ask how I was doing. He overdid the numbing, jabbing me several times which affected my ability to swallow. I could feel and hear deep tissues in the back of my jaw tearing. I have a small mouth and the way he stretched and pulled my lips was painful. Usually, a dentist will allow small breaks to rinse and swallow. This dentist, through his assistant, because he never spoke to me except a curt good morning, insisted I keep my mouth open for several minutes for "things to dry" which seem like about 20 mins without rinses while he drilled and ground and dug at my tooth. I had to go out of my body to endure this. I felt completely violated.

If you are looking for a new dentist, be very aware of this practice. While Dr. Kirchmeier and their hygienists are awesome, the business practices by their apparent office manager (Cindy) are deplorable. Here's my story. Having recently moved back to town, and needing a new dentist, I did a Google search. I found an offer online from North Eugene Family Dental for a free exam with a paid cleaning (eugeneordental.com/free-exam-x-rays). When I called to confirm if this offer was still valid, the receptionist, Jodeci, told me that it was. I thus made two appointments: one for the exam, and one two weeks later for the cleaning. On the day of the exam, the hygienist and doctor were great! Two weeks later, the cleaning was also fantastic. I was ready to be happy with my new dentist. But when it came to pay for the cleaning, a sour-faced woman named Cindy, who is apparently the office manager,

Dr. Kirchmeier is a fantastic dentist! I highly recommend him! He is very knowledgable and is able to answered all of my questions in a way that I could easily understand. He is very patient, kind, and truly listens to my concerns. His team is well organized, friendly, and helpful! I love getting my teeth cleaned here and highly recommend Dora & Heather.
