STAY AWAY - she pretends to be a dermatologist and takes dermatology appointments when she's only an internist. Barely showed any interest in me and she was one foot out the door when I still had questions to ask her. DO NOT GO TO HER.

She makes a lot of judgments based on very little information, and she's just not empathetic.

Horrible
When I first started speaking with Dr. Koya she spoke to me in the most condescending tone and kept cutting me off. She accused me of “hiding” information from her when she was asking about my medical history. Didn’t want to hear my opinions and quickly read off possible solutions for my skin problems and seemed to be trying to rush me out as quick as possible. If you are at all considering Dr. Koya - STAY AWAY.

I started seeing Dr Koya 2 years ago and she was good. Once covid hit in 2020 she wasn't as attentive. I had issues getting blood work done. Then in 2021 I tried making an appointment to see her in the spring, unfortunately my mother passed away and I missed my appointment. When I called to reschedule I had to wait almost 3 month for an appointment. On the day of the appointment, she had an emergency and had to cancel my appointment, and gave me a telehealth appointment for her to then tell me on the day, that she may not be able to finish the call because I did not show up as her patient. Long story short I was going through a series of medical issues and she was not available to help me. She is too busy and does not have time for patients and is only able to book you months out. She doesn't seem to really care about her patient, only seems to care about being able to bill for them

My husband and I have both been seeing Dr Koya. We find her very pleasant, knowledgeable and compassionate. We will probably make her our primary care physician.

Absolutely horrible empathy and condescending. Didn't want to look or even diagnose at my skin issues on my hands or feet. Tried to tell her about my chest pains, she immediately interrupted when I said, "chest" and dismissed me before I told her it hurt and I tore the muscles, she said "Yeah, I read you've had a breast surgery." As if telling me to not talk about it and move on. Zero empathy. Leave, Run away, Find Someone Else!!!!!!!

I see Dr. Koya as my primary care Doctor. She is very attentive and her bedside manner is great. Any questions I have she is able to answer. The decor is a little outdated in her building, but the staff is friendly and I've never had a problem

I saw Dr. Koya for an updated prescription for depression and anxiety and she was miserable. 6 weeks after my initial appointment, and many phone calls back and forth, she refused to write me a prescription for an anti-depressant. She spoke to me in condescending manner, lacked confidence, and compassion. When I was in a dark place, mentally and emotionally, she strung me along for weeks without offering any meaningful help or guidance. Her "care" left me feeling more depressed and helpless.
