Patronizing and Unavailable
I moved to Tampa about 2 years ago to begin nursing school, and found Dr. Batra‘s office. Even though every other provider required 90 day visits, for almost a year, Dr. Batra made me come monthly. When the pandemic hit, his office was unreachable for weeks. I had to get my insurance company involved to literally track him down at an inpatient facility he worked at to get in contact (I had been out of my medication for a week at this point). For my ADHD medication, I have to call monthly for a refill, at that time, the office tells me if I need an appointment. Mind you, I am an RN and a FT grad student, so I’m busy. I get a call almost a month later that the MD is “mad” that I didn’t call for an appointment and that I was “trying to break the law”. When I told the receptionist that I thought it was unreasonable for her to say that, I received a call back saying the MD was dismissing me from the practice. Now, he refuses to release my records because they are “mental health” related.

Dr. Batra met me when I had PTSD to go along with my (still) chronic depression. Let's just say I would not be writing this review without his knowledge and experience. I can't believe some have said he doesn't listen well. I've not had that problem.

My daughter started seeing Dr. Batra in 2009. She was nine. At the time, we were in an emergency situation and needed someone ASAP. All the other offices I called had waiting lists of 6-12 months. Dr. Batra's office told me the wait was 3 weeks, only call back and get us an appointment the following Saturday. Since that day almost 8 years ago, my daughter has done nothing but improve, and when she regresses, Dr. Batra does everything he can to get her back on track.
