Wonderful until there’s a problem
I was a patient of Dr. Kakani years ago. I loved how she took care of me when I was trying to get pregnant and throughout my pregnancy. The problem came when it was time to deliver. She butchered my episiotomy and cut me me all the way through to my rectum. Postpartum I kept complaining that something wasn’t right because stool was coming out of my vagina. At first she said it was because I’m vegetarian and I needed more time to heal. Later she told me she couldn’t find anything and it was probably how I was wiping myself and I was 26!. I consulted with two doctors who both upon examination told me I had developed a fistula due to the episiotomy. I needed two surgeries to repair the damage. My daughter is now 30 and although I’m much better thanks to my other doctors, I’ve never been the same. Also, I have 3 friends with similar stories. One had her fistula repaired when she had her next child. Just beware. If you don’t feel right, get another opinion.

Thankful for great care!
Dr. Kakani is a fantastic physician who truly cares. After struggling for years with progressively worsening pain, Dr. Kakani was able to recognize my issue immediately. Her diagnosis was spot on! She took the time to review everything thoroughly with me and discuss treatment options. Ultimately, surgery was the best treatment option for me and I know I was in excellent (and very skilled) hands, as my recovery has gone well. Her support staff has been very helpful throughout the process as well.I can't thank Dr. Kakani enough for the care she gave me!I work in healthcare and will gladly refer patients to Dr. Kakani

Caring Physician
She is wonderful. Never left waiting long and she never rushed the appointment. She takes time to listen to concerns and addresses every one of them. She did my surgery and had my medications and follow ups ready for me before going into surgery. She really took care of me and made sure i was prepared and comfortable.

We had a hard time getting pregnant. Dr. Kakani referred me to get hsg testing as soon as my insurance would cover it and after we had tried for a year. We conceive d the next month. She doesn't give fast solutions to infertility but she goes by the book and it works. She's always to the point so you don't have to guess what she is trying g to say. I absolutely would recommend her to anyone looking for an obgyn in Huntsville. Josly n, her nurse, has been great too. She always returns calls fast

i went to see her for years. I stopped going because she told me to do Volunteer Work. Ignoring my health issues. I went to a doctor in Birmingham. Pelvic pain specilaist. I had vaginal atrophy and vestibulitis, etc . The vaginia was dry and muscles were tight, vaginia was closing up. She did suggest exercises for the closing up. But again volunteer work will not heal the rest. Dr. Childs prescribed physical therapy for my vaginia, etc. He was a gem

I just started going to her and I love her. I wish I was with her a long time ago. Dr. Kakani listen to you when you trying to explain whats going on with you. Also she is not like other doctors come in the room for a second and leave back out. I will highly recommend her to be your Doctor.

She forgot to take out gauze in my vagina after delivering my baby. For two weeks, I was in severe pain and I thought it was weird because the pain should get better, but it was actually getting worse. Whenever the blood that got soaked up in the gauze came out, I felt pain that almost made me faint. She gave me extra pain in addition to the usual pain after delivering baby. Also, she didn't spend enough time talking and explaining things to me.
