Dr. Kristin Miselis, PSY

I was treated by Dr. Miselis and I would never recommend seeing her for psychiatric care. While she has extensive knowledge of eating disorders she has terrible bedside manner and can be psychologically damaging for patients. She is overly harsh, lacks compassion, and refuses criticism from patients. I have seen her discharge patients from her care for lack of compliance, even when she was aware patients would have no other viable treatment options. Otherwise, this doctor would rather high risk eating disorder patients go without psychiatric support or adequate treatment than have a patient question her recommendations or critique her tyrannical bedside manner. She often does not believe patients, tells patients they are not trying hard enough, and accuses patients of being manipulative. She is not a quality or kind psychiatrist and is NOT worth $600 for an intake appointment.

Takes advantage of desperate parents with children who are very ill with eating disorders. Charged over $800 for the initial appointment, and is not an especially talented psychiatrist. There is no reason for her to charge this much, other than that she knows she can because her patients are children with eating disorders and the parents are desperate.

Rude to children already struggling. Tried to act as a psycho-therapist to our child (which she is truly unqualified) with the finesse of a detective conducting an interrogation.
