Caring and Patient Doctor
My child has only recently started to see Dr. Shenk. She was very knowledgeable the first time I met her. However, my reason for this review is because she called me back to have a conversation about my child and her chronic symptoms. She took time to listen to me. She answered all of my questions. It was out of her good will to call me because she wasn’t expected to. I am very pleased with the quality of care we have received from Dr. Shenk!

Dr. Shenk has been our daughter's doctor from her very first visit outside of the hospital, but we have had visits with two other doctors from her practice. While our experiences among all the doctors at Tenafly have been great, Dr. Shenk has been exceptional. In addition to the comfort and ease she has with our daughter, she has caught an early heart murmur, always been responsive through the virtual portal and following up with us directly, and always been willing to talk us through our questions and concerns as silly as they can sometimes be as first time parents with patience and grace. Our family highly recommends Dr. Shenk and the whole Tenafly Pediatrics - Hoboken office!

Dr. Shenk should not be a Pediatrician. She is innately unsympathetic and does not understand her role in practice. Dr. Shenk he sees her patients as a number and provides the bare minimum in terms of not only evaluation but care. In my experience, she spent more time complaining her workload than actually caring for her patients. There are plenty of wonderful pediatricians out there, Dr. Shenk is not one of them.
