Absolutely Horrible! Treats veterans like children
Without putting any identifying information (stuck with him in the VA), my general experience is he completely lies about what he said previous appointments. Sounds crazy I know, but I truly don't say this lightly. I was told nothing was wrong with me, then after a test result he agreed to give me steroids and apologized, and then next appointment said nothing is wrong with me again. He is disrespectful, arrogant, and genuinely a terrible human. Do yourself a favor and find someone who will actually care about your health

I saw Dr. Sivakumar for two EMGs and pain control following spinal surgery. He was arrogant, dismissive and absolutely shocked me when after the second EMG, he looked at me and declared, "Ugh, your all bloody." He threw a paper towel onto my torso and said, "Clean yourself up!". When someone is so arrogant and rude, I frankly couldn't care less about their body of knowledge. Kindness and some compassion trump factual info. in medicine and all of life.

I and my family have been seen by Dr. Sivakumar since 2002. I can adamantly recommend him as a Doctor. He is very compassionate and understanding. I have CMT 1A and Dr. Sivakumar helped me to gain a better understanding to the changes to come and helped me to better prepare for a future with my condition for which I will be ever grateful for. His professionalism is top notch.

I have been with Dr. Siva for over 14 years. He has kept me going even though my condition gets me down. He is very compassionate, knowledgeable and spends time with his patients. He doesn't rush through your visit just because he has other patients....isn't that how you want to be treated?

I have never had a Dr. so far off on what I was going through. Had he allowed me to talk, I could have told him that tests have already shown his diagnosis to be very wrong. He completely disregarded what I was describing and told me that I was wrong. Would not listen to me and even got irritated and kept telling me, "You don't believe me, that is up to you." Arrogant and God like. Cut me off every time I tried to speak. Never have I felt so disrespected as a person or patient. Horrible!

I have had CIDP for over 24 years and Plasmapheresis has been my recommended treatment. I see Dr. Sivakumar every six months to discuss any changes in my condition as well as my treatment frequency. He is always spot on while recognizing my strengths and weaknesses, even before they are evident to me. He has always been very positive, caring and listened to any concerns that I might have.

Arrogant, dismissive, does not LISTEN to patient. He does the talking, interrupts, does not review paperwork. Contradicts test results. Saw him for 2nd opinion and follow up to emergency room visit from possible complications/side effects of neurological medication. He was in such a HURRY he told his med. asst. to get out of the room as she was helping me fill out the paperwork he never reviewed. He said he was the expert in pba, take the medicine, don't come back. Spent 12-15min.
